flurries  of  snow  distract  julian  from  outside  of  his  window,  mug  of  hot  chocolate  warming  his  hands  as  lola  circles  at  his  feet.  “do  you  think  i  could  train  her  to  use  a  litter  box  ?”  he  asks,  tone  fully  serious  as  he  turns  to  look  at  kai,  moving  to  sit  next  to  him  on  the  couch.  “is  that  like  …  ETHICAL  ?”

going  to  lois  and  found  is  always  a  compromise  for  maeve  and  grace.  grace  wants  to  look  at  clothes,  and  maeve  wants  to  look  at  knick  knacks  she'll  get  the  chance  to  break  in  a  fit  of  rage.  maeve  won  the  coin  flip  upon  entering,  which  means  they're  currently  looking  at  all  the  glass  lois  has  to  offer.  she  lets  out  a  deep  sigh  as  she  hears  the  familiar  voice  behind  her.  “grace,  DID  YOU  HEAR  THAT  ?  sounded  like  my  brother.”  her  eyes  focus  as  she  slowly  turns  a  vase  on  the  shelf  in  front  of  her.  “but  he  died  a  couple  weeks  back.”

vada  drums  softly  ,  tapping  out  a  simple  rhythm  to  feel  the  groove.  gentle  thumps  ,  light  taps  on  the  cymbal.  then  a  spark  of  inspiration  hits  ,  corners  of  her  mouth  tugged  into  a  mischievous  grin.  "  i’ve  got  a  crazy  idea  ,  "  she  blurts  out  ,  leaning  over  the  kit.  "  okay  ,  not  really  my  idea.  i  saw  this  guy  on  tiktok  the  other  day  —  he  fuckin’  lit  his  drums  on  fire  and  well  ,  played  with  fire.  it’s  cool  as  hell.  "  part  of  her  is  annoyed  she  didn’t  think  of  it  first.  "  might  as  well  give  it  a  shot  ,  you  know  ?  "  she  says  ,  already  halfway  there  in  thought.

blue  turner  was  not  exactly  the  type  of  friend  millie  had  set  out  to  make  –  it  was  just  one  of  those  things  that  had  been  thrust  upon  her.  it  started  over  a  decade  ago  when,  despite  him  being  two  years  older,  they'd  landed  in  the  same  science  class.  they'd  been  assigned  lab  partners,  and  have  been  quite  the  pair  ever  since. 

the  waitress  approaches,  and  asks  if  they  plan  to  make  separate  checks  or  a  joint  one.  she's  used  to  people  speaking  for  her,  so  she's  happy  to  let  blue  answer.  except  …  he  doesn't.  and  she  can  feel  two  pairs  of  eyes  on  her.  the  waitress,  expecting  an  answer,  and  blue,  who  looks  like  he's  definitely  forgotten  his  wallet  at  home.  “um  …  TOGETHER  ?”  the  waitress  nods,  takes  their  orders,  and  walks  away.  “dinner  on  me  tonight.”

𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: THE  TAPROOM,   PENNY   LANE ( @invlsiblestring )

what  the  hell  am  i  doing  here  ?  is  all  ariella  can  think  as  she  finds  herself  wandering  into  the  taproom.  she'd  hate  to  think  she's  lost  her  taste,  but  sometimes  convenience  came  with  a  price.  she  huffs  as  she  pulls  up  a  stool  for  herself,  dior  mini  handbag  sticking  out  like  a  sore  thumb  as  she  places  it  in  front  of  her  on  the  bar  (  on  top  of  several  napkins,  of  course  ).  she's  got  half  a  mind  to  pull  a  handwipe  out  of  her  bag  and  start  wiping  the  area  down,  but  in  the  time  it  takes  her  to  make  a  decision,  she  finds  that  the  bartender  has  made  his  way  to  her.  “vodka  soda,”  she  starts  immediately,  looking  directly  past  him  and  to  the  bottles  along  the  wall.  “top  shelf,  IF  YOU  HAVE  ONE  OF  THOSE  HERE.”

“hell  no,”  she  says  with  a  roll  of  her  eyes  as  she  lights  the  joint  between  her  fingers.  “i'm  not  going  with  you  to  AL  TAVOLO.”  she  brings  it  to  her  lips,  taking  a  deep  inhale.  “i  barely  want  to  sit  next  to  you,  let  alone  a  stranger.”

once  kai  arrives  at  her  place,  she  quickly  shuts  the  door  and  turns  to  face  him,  clearly  eager  to  get  the  news  out.  fuck,  she  needs  to  talk  to  someone  about  this.  "  have  you  seen  the  article  about  blonde  sundays  recently?  lucy’s  leaving  the  band.  "  she  shakes  her  head  lightly,  somehow  still  struggling  to  believe  what  she’s  just  read.  "  they’ve  lost  two  of  their  baddest  bitches  —  first,  it  was  cleo,  and  now  lucy,  too.  i  fear  this  might  be  the  end  of  them.  "  strangely  enough,  there  is  no  article  about  the  band  splitting  up,  so  they’re  likely  still  up  and  running.  not  that  vada  has  anything  against  them,  of  course.
