So here's the No Split AU ideas, edited slightly from the format I shared on Discord (separate messages/trains of thought are separated by the lines and I'm sorry I'm on mobile and can't add a read more):
Okay so imagine this with me: Roman and Remus are play fighting in the Imagination, like they often do. And the Dragon Witch comes along to ruin their fun, like she often does. And before they can do anything about it because they're so caught up with fighting, she does a spell on them or something and disappears.
Roman and Remus aren't quite sure what happened so they quickly head home before it can do anything to them. But when they get there, none of the other Sides recognize them. And as Roman and Remus are VERY confused and stepping backwards away from the others, they feel a Creative aura. The two have an aura the other can sense, but it's not Roman's aura and it's not Remus's aura. And the two turn around to see someone they'd only seen in childhood photographs.
King Creativity.
And they realize that they aren't home at all.

The two get the urge--and follow through with it--to kneel because the king is above both princes and dukes and the King is very confused about the weird Creative energies the two are giving off.

"Who are you? You're obviously Sides, but who are you?" Deceit still has his fangs bared.
"I'm Roman."
"I'm Remus!"
"And what are you?" Patton asks.
Roman and Remus look at each other then at the King with his overpowering aura staring at them in confusion.
"We're Creativity!"

Roman and Remus are very hesitant to talk about why there are two Creativitys instead of one because "Well you see your friend he got split in half and became us it was really painful kinda hurt"

Having two Creative auras (one brother's and the King's) is really overpowering for the twins. The King on the other hand is powerful enough that their auras don’t bother him much. But the two also will reject any move to separate them from each other to be questioned because they have no idea what would happen if one of them spent too long with the King.

This is where I found out Ryan meant "little king" and decided to use it for the King's name

Roman and Remus act like they dislike each other right up until they realize they aren't home and then they're glued to each other's sides, which makes these alternate versions of their friends worry and feel horrible about what happened to them that makes them fake that they hate each other. It obviously has to do with the other Sides.

The Sides aren't unsympathetic by the way they're just a little biased towards black and white.
Alternate Patton: You guys are so cute!
Remus, with tears: Do you mean it? Patton would never say that to me!
Alternate Patton: Hey where's your Patton I just want to talk
