✄ What is an idea you originally had in mind for your muse, but ended up scrapping? Why?

When I first made Colette, that wasn’t even her name. I don’t remember what it was at the time, but her original idea was that she was a renowned veterinarian that went all over Eorzea to help keep the peace between the people and the beasts surrounding their homes. Any time a beast would change their tunes a total 180, she would be called to make sure it wasn’t something the people could avoid.
However, the more I played her, the more I disliked it. I came to almost abandoning the character completely, because I didn’t even like playing her anymore. So after a while, I finally decided I was going to try and move one of my own characters from a completely different fandom to ffxiv. Mind you, she originally was a Spider demon, so tweaking Colette for this fandom was a chore. And keep in mind, the shop came even later! Because even after making her, she still didn’t have a place she belonged.
This is where I need to thank @sky-gryphon. We had been talking over discord and I had brought Colette up for discussion. During our talk, that’s when the idea of the shop came to mind. Mind you, I’m still typing up the history on the shop itself (it’s so detailed, oh my lanta), but I have a good chunk completed. So she had finally found her home, and I was satisfied with how she turned out. <3
