SEND A NAME/WORD FOR A POEM putting on a brave face for a coarse world.perseverance in every choked out syllable. meadows on meadows, welcoming homesoldiers and lovers. tendrils of flowersgrasping for arms and hands and forgiveness. rays of petals.petals raising. daisies pushing upagainst top soil and better judgement.

sunlight like waves washing up over faces and toes buried into dirt. there are kinder scenes than this. kinder people than us. a sprained wrist pressed againstthe cool of soda bottle. the idea is always this grasping kindness by the soft edges, and hoping that there isn’t too much.
