Please be my mentor?

Sophia was the only nurse who lived at the castle. She served every illness and infection that happened. When something went wrong she was one of the first people there. But wanting to learn more she headed down to where Henry was deciding to see if he could mentor her and teach her. She knew his history as a teacher during the war, even Mephisto brought it up to her every so often. The young blonde knocked on the man’s door biting her lip nervously before it opened. “Dr. Jekyll, I hope this isn’t a bad time. But I was wondering if we could talk?” She asked hoping that the man wouldn’t turn her away. It was rare for anyone in the castle to see him, but she was dedicated enough to venture down to the man’s quarters. “I wanted to know if you would be able to become my mentor and help me with my nursing skills. I know of your service during the war,” She rambled on as she peaked up at him shyly.

Saahana shivered as she dragged herself from the river. So far, so good, she thought, lying on the bank and gasping. The chill seeped into her from her dripping wet robes. She prayed to the Nine that she would not get the cough after tonight’s fishing trip. She had seen it happen to others who dallied in the water for too long. 

Too late to worry about that now, she told herself. A shadowy figure emerged from the trees nearby. From its size she guessed it was a male. Rolling to her feet, Saahana eyed the stranger warily. “Something you need, stranger?” she asked in a low voice. She did not whisper. Whispers carried further in the dark than speaking in a normal tone.

The Royal Court

Sophia had been told time after time that the only reason she was a courtesan at the royal court was because she was pretty and nothing else. But when she was younger, she could’ve sworn she knew a better life than this. That she was a young princess in her own kingdom. But as she grew up she started to remember her place in society. She was nothing special, just a pretty face and a pretty body to entertain the king and his guests. Tonight’s masquerade ball was nothing special. She kept her face well hidden behind the mask, careful not to reveal herself to anyone. Her corset hugged her curves, showing off her body. Her eyes caught an unfamiliar face as their eyes met. Feeling embarrassed, she quickly looked away and went to go grab a glass of champagne. Normally she stayed hidden during these events, not wanting to bring too much attention to herself. She could still feel eyes on her though, it was the curse of her beauty. Attracting the attention of all men, married and unmarried. But, she was just one of the whores of the court and nothing else.
