"mer!"Krankenlovecraft would be probably that one creature even eelzai would be weary off.. suddenly it's not so fun to threaten you with eating when you have THAT thing looming over your shoulder giving him warning glares.. he'd snitch but those tentacles look extra strong today..

Even merzai isn't that daring, and he can sense Lovecraft is something far bigger and more dangerous than him or even Fyodor. Far more ancient than Fukuzawa or Mori, and stronger than the tides themselves. And infuriatingly he seems just as taken with you as the rest of the bay!! But he can't fight something like that!!! He goes and sulks in his favourite cave, muttering to himself about how Lovecraft isn't even a real mer, he's just putting on a pretty face for you. As if he hasn't been buttering you up since the day you met.

Sharkfukuzawa and orcamori would bring you fish that by their research is the tastiest (for humans) biggest,clean,stripped of scales and organs Eelzai will bring the most monsteroucous thing from the deep ocean..as long as it's big he's getting it for you

Oh yeah, this. Sharkfukuzawa and Orcamori have probably had some prior amicable contact with humans and might even know a little about their culture. They know humans work differently inside and that they eat lots of different foods. Eelzai eats trash straight off the ocean floor and assumes his darling will do the same, naturally.

I have more to say: about other mers being threatened by lovecraft constantly because he is a silly gatekeeping goober who just needs the lil person to himself

Dazai yeah? This motherfucker kind of debates seriously telling reader whats going on but decides that the permission to keep living from our big man is way more valuable than a little annoyed comment towards lovecraft's behavior💀

(As soon as the reader turns around to check what he's looking at, big man is gone. No trace of him. The water is dead still where he once was even though he just went back down into the water at break neck speed. Dazai looks mortified. You do comfort him, though, and he counts the entire situation as a win because no matter what went down he still got your affection, which, in his book, is the biggest W possible)

Real tho, Lovecraft is constantly appearing over your shoulder like a scary second shadow and creeping everyone else out, which is of course the intended effect. And you don't suspect anything because when he disappears back into the ocean he doesn't even leave ripples, so you have no idea why Dazai is so fidgety. Imagine having to explain to the cute human that you can't eat court them anymore because they have scary dog privileges

I wanna go back to the ask that was something of lines like" imagine eeldazai and squidnikolai both interested in you and fighting over you there will be link torn off' I think dazai is longer but Nikolai is bulkier like his human part has way more muscle than dazai,I think both have sharp teeth so teeth class and tentacles ("tail" for dazai) will be the main weapons against eachother, Nikolai has also the advantage of ink but I think dazai has greater sense of smell and sight so he's faster than Nikolai. But then Nikolai can form multiple limb or tentacles to wrap around dazai. I imagine when they finally go at eachother while you sit on a rock right where the fight is happening you don't think they're actually trying to off eachother you honestly think they're playing yes they're trying to bite chunks off eachother and strangle eachother but mers are way bigger and stronger than humans so what could look like a fight to you could be just a play for them.. right?.. except they're both of the mindset only one of them will walk away from this. Honestly I think the fight will end up in a tie both of them coming to you and sulking while you patch them up scolding then to play more gently next time. (They won't)

Well this has happened at least once.... a week. They never learn, so at some point you sit on a nearby rock and maybe chat with Chuuya/Sigma to pass the time while those two tear into each other. And then of course it's somehow your job to kiss all the boo boos and wrap them up and try to disinfect their wounds while they complain about it hurting.

I wanna give and be given love bites with MerChuu and Merzai, as well as Lovecraft. They’re adorably biteable. Hopefully they understand the meaning is to be gentle with the teeth…or not if it’s on the abdomen, neck or collarbone 🤤

Mer!Chuuya is your best bet if you like your subclavian arteries unpunctured. He'll happily nip at your neck and shoulders, maybe even your hips if you let him, but always looks up at you for approval after every bite. He knows mers are much stronger than humans and doesn't want to hurt you for real. Merzai is a horrid little gremlin and will bite a chunk out of you if you're not careful. Big teeth and all, plus he's very enthusiastic about it. I'd say muzzle him, but that's up to you. Mer!Lovecraft is another one that will probably hurt you, I'm not sure if he'd even agree to bits you. But don't worry, he has other ways to mark you up! Mainly the suckers on his tentacles that leave pretty lines of bruises all over you.
