Comments: I love the angst romances that end on a sweet note. I mean, Arthur pretty much realizes what he wants and then casts it aside in the span of hours, poor sod. But Gwaine comes out of this richer. Giving up you're happiness for another's, that's true love.

Summary: Uther’s insane, Morgana’s plotting a new assault on Camelot, and Arthur and his knights are clueless but supposedly in charge. In the midst of it, Gwaine finds himself harbouring feelings for a man who apparently has a destiny, and learns something new about magic: it doesn’t play fair, and serving it shakes everything you hold dear – whether you’re a sorcerer or not.

Comments: Yeah...this was awesome. I love the bits between Merlin and Gwaine, from why Merlin always asks for Gwaine help to Gwaine’s romantic speech after they get reunited. And Merlin’s magic confession to Arthur a-mazing. As is the aftermath Gwaine support session. And the idea of Songmates. And the tangled knot of Gwen/Lance/Arthur. And - I should just stop before I give things away, right? Needless to say, this is an emotional long story that you’ll love.
