aka a fanweek dedicated to the canonically female characters of the disastrous life of saiki k anime/manga (i.e. not male to female genderbends)

the fanweek will be held in the late winter/early spring of 2026! in the meantime please look out for more information and first and foremost the interest check which will be posted in an around a week :)

Rules & Information

What is this?

This is a fanweek for the female characters of the animanga series The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. This means that this fanweek is looking for works focused on the female characters from the anime/manga. Everyone can share works for any day of the week here on Tumblr, or on AO3 as these will be the main platforms for this fanweek.

Rules:

Only works that are focused on female characters will be accepted but male characters are welcome to appear in the background or even as secondary characters. This also means that a romance fic about a het ship will be accepted for this event too, as long as the focus is on the female character from the pairing.

We welcome trans/non-binary headcanons, however we do ask that your work focuses on canonically female characters, therefore works focusing on genderbends of canonically male characters will NOT be accepted for this event.

SFW only event! This means that in the case of posting on AO3, we will only be accepting works rated G or T and we would like to ask that the works posted on Tumblr also adhere to those guidelines.

In regard to romantic pairings, this event will not be accepting pairs that include incest and/or adult/minor pairings, including ships that age up canonically minor characters to pair them with canonically adult characters.

Accepted forms of art for this event are, including but not limited to, fanfiction, fanart, edits, amvs, web weavings, headcanons, moodboards, playlists, drabbles, cosplay (if you're unsure if a form of art you want to do would be accepted, i'd be happy to answer but chances are, it will be)

note 1: participants were allowed to pick multiple answers for this question and some picked writer and/or artist and/or spectator at the same time

the event will be held from

february 9th to february 15th

with a three months creation period as per ic results. this also means that we will release prompts on november 9th

any prompt that got more than 50% of the votes (10.5) we will have for this event! that means that we'll have character (11), romantic (11), alternate universe (16) and general (20) prompts for the disastrous girls week in 2026

we will also have an AO3 collection for this event and Saiki Kuriko, as per interest check results is a character that will be allowed for works to focus on (note: i, personally don't engage with kuriko a lot in this fandom so i don't know what the tendency is, but i do ask, that if you plan to focus your works on kuriko, she isn't just a kusuo genderbend because that is still not what this event is for and therefore i don't want kuriko being allowed to be an excuse to focus works on kusuo - mod)
