//AYYYY//
The air was thick with something. And it wasn’t an altogether unpleasant something. But it was different. He didn’t feel absolute loathing for an angel. Maybe that’s what made it different now. He was looking at her as less of an angel, and more as someone he could trust to genuinely help him. Closer to an actual person than a monster who could only ruin his life as he thought of most angels.
She was healing an injury he’d gotten on his face (another fight, go figure). It involved, as one could guess, touching his face. Her hand seemed to linger longer even after it it was healed. Long enough for Nick’s gaze to graze noticeably over her face; stayed longer on her lips than he’d meant to. She was a very beautiful woman. Or.. her vessel was.
There was a moment of hesitation at such a thought, but his impulsive nature took over for just long enough to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear, lean in, and kiss her.
He was gentle, so gentle, she’d been nothing but good with him thus far, he saw no reason to be less than the same with her. She tasted rather sweet.
That was the thought that had him abruptly pulling away just as quickly as he’d started. He stood up from where he’d been sitting and backed up a ways. “I, uh, sorry. Don’t know what came over me there.” he rubbed the back of his neck nervously. “But thank you for, um, healing my face. Again. I appreciate it.”
