More Mercury-8 since the writer of 21ge liked him a lot! There sooooo many I want to say about Merc and trivia about them but im soo tired. ππ All I can say while knowing wtf I am talking about for now is that his voice claim is the Yes Man from Fallout New Vegas
Venus-1 and The 21 Grams Experiment belong to @kivaember obviously
This little guy was rotating on my mind while I was reading and thinking about The 21 Grams Experiment by the ever talented @kivaember themselves. I would have loved to do a clean character sheet but digital art is the bane of my existence so this is what you are getting. more stuff under the cut about them (tw may be cringe ig)
this fellas name is "Mercury-8" or "Merc" as he used to be called. Unlike Juno, Venus or even V1 and V2, he was used as a caretaker of the children living in the site it was created aswell as a gatherer of outside resources that the humans deemed too dangerous for themselves, Mercury left one day, only to come back to find the site ambushed by machines
Their personality is basically somewhat of a expy of Wall-E I admit, finding solace and beauty despite the gloomy and depressing nightmare their planet has come to.
Mercury really cared about the humans, he remembers every single human that has ever lived in the site by name, character, hobby etc. it has made and crafted shrines/memorabilias for each one of them.
With Venus, Mercury is very very fond of it. Sees it as their "cousin" and wishes for it to grow as an individual with it's own decisions and feelings.
With V1, Mercury subconsciously sees it as a teenager, he knows deep down, in its twisted sense, V1 means well. Just needs to express it's thoughts and struggles better without having to bury them under a crude sarcastic tone.
It's relationship with Gabriel is the most complicated, Merc doesn't want to accept he is actually an angel at first and tries to deflect it by saying stuff like "Oh you are just a very... fleshy robot coping using your imagination right, RIGHT?" because they don't want to accept that there are infact divine beings who can't be bothered to take accountability (and the only angels they ever saw were the fat babies with wings children used to draw)and this makes them do and say some very very not nice things. But thankfully they work it out (by actually communicating wow!) and Merc decides that "ok I see you clearly are trying to break the cycle, though don't expect me to be fully obedient to you."
