handplates au in which alphys and asgore find out about 1-s and 2-p super early in the experiment (like while gaster is still treating them like how actual infants deserve to be treated), and instead of punishing gaster or getting mad at him, they make a proposal: all three of them raise the skeleton children together.

gaster is NOT happy but he doesn’t have much choice. now that alphys and asgore know, the experiment is ruined, and gaster figures that if his reputation can be saved at this point, he may as well go for it.

just imagine the five of them living in asgore’s castle (well alphys probably wouldn’t live there, she’d just come and go for babysitting duties), the three adults being super busy with their chaotic work lives, but all of them developing a soft spot for these kids, and maybe even for each other. they become closer friends than before, and realize that they make a pretty great team!
