The Creator Who Heals and Guides | Surah Ash-Shu'ara 🌙
how is the mercy of Allah swt? how can i describe it from my limited knowledge? perhaps, is it like the way a mother watches over a child wronging her, mocking her, being angry with her, and yet, when she is sad, she slices up a fruit for her?
or is it the way that Allah swt created us from nothing, watched us grow and wrong him, give no thanks for him, transgress him, only to turn to him when things go wrong, only to say, 'my beloved, i was waiting for you to come back.'
The 4 Signs of Protection from Allaah's Punishment
Makhool رحمه الله said:
“Four things, whoever has them, they are for his own advantage; and three things, whoever has them, they will be against him (and will be for his own disadvantage).The four things are: الشكر (Shukr - thankfulness), الإيمان (Imaan - Faith), الدعاء (al-Du`aa’ - supplication) and الاستغفار (al-Istighfaar - seeking forgiveness).
▪️ Allaah تعالى says:
*{ما يفعل الله بعذابكم إن شكرتم وآمنتم}*
{Why should Allaah punish you if you have thanked (Him) and have believed in Him?}
[Surah al-Nisaa' (4): 147]
▪️And Allaah تعالى says:
*{وما كان الله ليعذبهم وأنت فيهم وما كان الله معذبهم وهم يستغفرون}*
{And Allaah would not punish them while you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are amongst them, nor will He punish them while they seek (Allaah's) forgiveness.}
[Surah al-Anfaal (8): 33]
▪️And Allaah تعالى says:
*{قل ما يعبأ بكم ربي لولا دعاؤكم}*
{Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to the disbelievers): “My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours forever (inseparable, permanent punishment).”}
[Surah al-Furqaan (25): 77]
As for the three, then they are the following: المكر (al-Makar – slyness/evil plotting), البغي (al-Baghi - transgression), النكث (al-Nakath – breaking the commitments).
▪️ Allaah تعالى says:
{فمن نكث فإنما ينكث على نفسه}
{Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks it only to his own harm}
[Surah al-Fath (48): 10]
▪️And Allaah تعالى says:
*{ولا يحيق المكر السيئ إلا بأهله}*
{But the evil plot encompasses only him who makes it.}
[Surah al-Faatir (35): 43]
▪️And Allaah تعالى says:
{إنما بغيكم على أنفسكم}
{O mankind! Your rebellion (disobedience to Allaah) is only against your own selves}
[Surah Yunus (10): 23]”

I know exactly how you feel when you planned so hard for this Ramadhan and scheduled how to make the most out of this blessed month yet somehow things got preoccupied. If you think you failed to be up to date with your schedule and you are feeling like you are failing miserably, then I would like to share with you this beautiful hadith. ______ No one in this world is sinless, everyone of us have sinned. We have to accept that but as we accept that fact we should always realize and keep in mind that Allah loves those who repent and ask for His forgiveness. This hadith that I am about to share with you is one of the closest one to me, when I first encountered this hadith, tears just fell and I just couldn’t describe how I felt that time. I am sharing this because I know there are people out there who feel hopeless and feel like Allah will never forgive them because of the wrongdoings that they have done and the sins that they have committed. If you are one, or you know one who is at a halt in life because he or she is in this stage, I ask you to please share this to them. _____ Once Prophet Musa Alaihi Salaam asked Allah Almighty: “O Allah! When a pious person of Yours calls You, how do You respond to him/her?” Allah Almighty said: “I say here I am, O My servant.” Prophet Musa Alaihi Salaam asked: “When a sinful person turns to You, how do You respond to him/her?” Allah Almighty said: “I say here I am, O My servant; here I am, O My servant; here I am, O My servant.” Surprised, Prophet Musa Alaihi Salaam asked, “O My Lord! When a pious person calls You, he/she gets one reply ‘here I am, O My servant’ but a sinful person gets three replies, ‘here I am, O My servant.” Allah Almighty said that the pious person prayed to Him for fulfillment of his or her need (exalted status) whereas, “My sinful person prays to Me in hope of My Mercy.” _____ A similar message has been explained by our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalaam, he used this as an example:
“A person travelling through an arid land. He has supplies of food, drink and provisions loaded onto a riding animal. He halts at a place to rest. When he rise after his sleep, his animal and supplies of food and drink has disappeared. He gets greatly concerned as to how he can survive without eating and drinking and travel such a long distance without the animal. He is totally disappointed and he fears that he will suffer the agony of a slow death.
You may well imagine how that person feels when he suddenly finds his lost animal with all the supplies of food and drink on it. How happy would he not be? When a sinful person turns to Him, Allah Almighty is happier than the person who has found his lost provisions.” ______ Subhan’Allah, I think this hadith is self-excruciatingly impactful. Ponder for a moment, compose yourself and let your next prayer be as sincere as it can be and ask forgiveness from Allah. Who will forgive us but Allah? So seek His forgiveness and never despair of His Mercy. We have entered the last ten nights of Ramadhan, make this count and let not Ramadhan leave without you asking sincerely for the forgiveness of Allah. ______ Story was taken from Radd ul Bala’Bid Du’a, p. 28 Hadith was taken from Sahih Al Bukhari, 6308
