i DO see the appeal of meredith seeking out bethany specifically because she's obsessed with hawke (there's so much to unpack there) BUT i think bethany on her own has a lot of Draw as well. if only for the impressive feat of being an apostate with GENERATIONAL experience in being an apostate. it's a hawke family thing. she's got magical education and discipline that could make everyone else (including senior enchanters) look like bumbling idiots...

and she had all that experience & power LONG before any harrowing, and with only malcolm's teaching to guide her. (true, malcolm had the benefit of once having attended a circle himself so it wasn't all self-taught but still)

like. isn't that incredibly intimidating to the circle & templars both. an apostate who knows 100% she's fully capable and stable without them. that kind of self-confidence could be enough to spark meredith's interest

Vickers x Shaw ✞ Skin

 //I finished it! Finally. I thought I'd share it here just because I can. Also this video contains spoilers if you've never seen Prometheus, the last few sentences below also contain them, you've been warned my dears. The basic story is that Shaw and Vickers fall for each other while Shaw is still with Charlie. Shaw tells Vickers how she feels. At first Vickers doesn't respond but then the next day she confesses she feels the same way. They spend the night together and the next morning Vickers asks Shaw to be with her but Shaw says she can't. When Vickers dies Shaw tries to help her but is too late. She wishes she had chosen to be with her and been able to save her.

Headcanon: Vickers sees David flirting with Shaw

Vickers: “What the hell was that?” David: “If you’re referring to my talk with Doctor Shaw, I believe the term is flirting.” Vickers: “Do you mind explaining what's going on?” David: “I am conducting an experi-”

-Meredith pushes David up against the wall in anger- Vickers: “No, David.” David: “I do not understand the issue.” Vickers: “Then I'll explain the god-damn issue you son of a bitch. You will not flirt with Shaw for your 'experiment'. This ends now.” David: “I was not aware you were such a loyal friend to the Doctor.” Vickers: “This isn't about being her friend it’s about being human. Something you’ll never understand. You can’t mess with someone’s feelings just to see what happens. Now you listen to me... If you break her heart…I’ll break your neck. Are we clear?” David: “Crystal clear. Ma'am.” -Meredith begins to walk away from David-

David: “Although I must say…your reaction and desire to protect Elizabeth suggests that-” Vickers: “Finish that sentence and I’ll break your neck right now.”
