Kaden wasn't particularly thrilled with his outfit chosen by Lucien. It wasn't awful by any means compared to others but it wasn't what he was comfortable in. He also knew this was Lucien's way of showing off his slaves in matching outfits now that Vitaly had joined the suite. Again, he also recognized it could be far worse.

Still, he could use the distraction and seeing Merek on stage while he watched the shows at the bar helped. A surprise, sure, but a welcome one even as he tried not to think whether that was a personal choice or a voluntold situation for the pyromancer. He waited at the bar when Merek was done and sure enough the younger arrived for a drink.

"I had no idea you could sing so well," the kresnik said, grinning crookedly at Merek. "You look real fancy tonight, darlin'."

Lucien was busy looking down at the pants to notice where Merek was looking or the conversation would have surely gone differently. As it was he was pulling at the tight fabric on his thighs and trying to look over his shoulder at his ass in the form fitting fabric. "I don't prefer to wear such things of the bedroom." because he did wear a lot of different types of leather outfits for Raphael, but not out and about. "I can't believe you walk..." His words trailed and he looked incredulously at Merek at his response. "How is that your immediate next thought. It truly amazes me how you can avoid every notion of logic so astutely." He looked Merek over. "Does that mean I now get to pick something I want to see you in?"

Raiden had been busy with a lot of things. He'd heard of Merek's situation which he found more amusing than anything else. It didn't really surprise him. He found it more surprising Merek hadn't ended up a slave while he was Chief of Staff. "So the rumors are true." He mused stealing the pyromancer's drink from his hand and finishing it for him. "I'd ask how you'd managed it, but I don't really give a fuck. Just know I like you better with a collar around your neck, though I think you'd have looked better in something more like what that angel's wearing. Could lose the dress and keep that white thing." He smiled ruefully pulling the slave in closer. "Though, you know I do like red."

Ransom couldn't say he was ever a fan of Merek. He was too flirty with the councilman and masters, which always made him wonder what the hell Kaden saw in the pyromancer. Obviously something Ransom was missing; sure as hell wasn't a heart of gold. The police chief couldn't keep the look of annoyance from his features when the fire wielder walked into the police station assuredly looking for the kresnik who wasn't there.

Ransom was on his way out, one of the rare times the half dragon wasn't in uniform. Maybe the first time Merek saw him outside the undercroft not in the normal police uniform. "If you're looking for Valentine I'd suggest you speak with Gaudet." He informed. "As I recall you two are pretty close."

“Oh, I’m sure we will,” Raphael purred, drinking in the gorgeous creature before him. He let the space close between them, sure he could wager a pretty good guess on who this woman actually was. Based on the feminine version of his features, syntax, and taste of magic, Raph felt confident in assuming this must be that pretty servant Merek. “Don’t think for a second that you’ll be fucking me, sweetheart,” he said, hooking a finger under the psionic’s chin and leaning in closer. “Let’s head back to your suite and I’ll show you all sorts of fun we can have with you in this lovely body.”

Gale stared back at the man who has requested him for the night. A staff rather than a vampire master, for a change. The Thunder Dragon stood at the centre of the room, like a piece of statue in display at the heart of a museum. After all, the Thunder Dragon did have a beautiful body. Muscles spoke strength and well-defined, heavy yet balanced at the same time.

He couldn’t help but pondered as he watched the man before him. The questioning look was obvious on his expression.

Why?

The Thunder Dragon thought in his low, earthy voice, lips sealed and remained quiet. 

Why serve the vampires as master? He is a hybrid, that I understand. But half of his blood filled with the phoenix’s fire. A creature that could bring back the light and drive the wickedness away. Why would he allow himself to submit to the darkness?

After his conversation with Magnai on Christmas that rubbed him the wrong way, Kaden couldn't stop thinking about it much as he tried. It wasn't a big deal, he knew what his relationship with Merek was and that he'd never manipulate the pyromancer through his emotions towards him. Emotions that were mutual, by the way. But what ground his gears most was that his boyfriend was out here oversharing things with people who didn't need to know certain details and people who enjoyed involving themselves in that weren't their business. He liked keeping most personal things private save for those who needed to know.

He asked Merek to meet him at the diner near the police station after both their shifts. He sat in his usual booth, the host and server recognizing him with how often he and Ransom ate here. Kaden looked up when he spied his boyfriend, smiling and waving him down. "Howdy, darlin', how was work?"
