I picked Merida as a character for this imagine since I know we both love Brave, this way I could also write for her for the first time. Enjoy your gift and please do something nice for yourself today, or whenever you'd like to celebrate; you totally deserve it!!!
You urgently knock at Merida's chamber door. A couple of minutes pass before you manage to get any reaction from her.
'Leave me alone!' she shouts.
'You know I can't!'
Another minute and she opens the door with a grumpy face.
'Can I come in?' you ask.
'If you have too...'
'You know I'm mainly your friend, and only then I'm meant to advise you,' you remind her, heading for Merida's bed and sitting next to her.
'I know, I know...' she sighs, lying down. 'Being a princess is just so boring sometimes. And my mother wants me to attend another gathering tomorrow!'
'Another gathering? Haven't you been to one yesterday?'
You let the question out in a surprised tone, hoping she won't realise you actually know that she's supposed to attend some meeting and that it was her mother that asked you to convince her to join.
Luckily enough, it doesn't seem to cross Merida's mind and she only exclaims:
'Yes! And it makes me so tired!'
'Well... how about you agree to go to that gathering, and we'll go for a ride right after?'
She sits up with a thoughtful expression on her face.
'What if my mother doesn't agree?'
'Oh, I'll help you convince her. I'm a part of her court too after all, maybe she'll take my advice and realise her daughter need some time to herself too.'
Merida's smile gets wider and wider as you speak. Once you finish, she makes a decision.
'Okay, I trust you. I'll do it.'
You agree to meet the next afternoon, right after dinner; you're supposed to wait for her in the stables, form where you'll take your horses and go for a ride.
After a little chat with your friend, you finally leave her room and head for your chamber. You're not sure if she saw through your plan, but you hope she'll be there tomorrow either way, so that you'll spend a nice afternoon together.

Sorry for the inactivity! I’ve been quite busy studying for finals and finishing all my leftover work this week. ;; So I apologize if my updates vary between slow and fast.
“I cam ‘ere tae explain whit happened, ‘n’ I’m nae leavin’ 'til ye listen.”
He blocked the door to your room with his larger body, tucking a loose lock of curly, fiery red hair behind his ear before he crossed his arms.
“And why should I?” You said, glaring at the scottish prince. Thankfully you had managed to at least look decent in front of him, effectively hiding any evidence that you had been crying your heart out before he determinedly barged into your room.
After the announcement that he was going to marry one of the princess from the other three clans, you didn’t think you’d ever want to see his face again—how could you not, in all honesty, react the way you did when word said that your boyfriend was betrothed to someone else?
Merida smirked, though his eyes showed a deep understanding at your heartbroken anger, his next words leaving you stunned while the redhead took a few steps toward you, with the intent of gaining your forgiveness.
“Because I’m nae getting merrit tae ony o’ them.”
Merida cuddles with Y/N…
Merida: what do ye think of the sound of little feet running thru our home?
Y/N: did your brothers turn into bears again?!
Merida: no! That’s not what I-
Y/N: baby you have to stop going to that witch-
Merida: I want yer kids!
Y/N: oh…I’d love that
Merida: (giggles) good.
The two share a kiss, not noticing that Merida’s brothers run past them, having been turned into bears again…

Merida: what is the point of ruling?
Y/N: you can do what ever you want
Merida: oh really?
Merida wraps her arms around Y/N’s neck…
Merida: as your queen I forbid you from leaving this room today
