Oh, what a joy it is to scroll through the endless wisdom of online discussions. Truly, the internet is a treasure trove of intellectual discourse. One can’t help but marvel at the sheer brilliance of arguments based on the ever-popular ad hominem fallacy. Because, obviously, attacking someone’s character is the best way to prove a point.

And let’s not forget the slippery slope, where one tiny step leads to the end of civilization as we know it. It’s amazing how a single change can snowball into utter chaos. Who knew?

Then there’s the straw man, a personal favorite. Why bother addressing a real argument when you can just invent a weaker version and tear it to shreds? It’s so much easier and, clearly, the mark of a true debater.

To counter these gems, one might consider asking for evidence or pointing out the logical leaps. But really, who needs logic when you have the internet?
