Hey, y'all! So I had an idea for a fun little community-building exercise for the Merlinverse, just to help us all interact and get more familiar with each other and our OCs.
Basically, this link will take you to a site where you spin two wheels, one with an interaction prompt and the other with the name of a Merlinverse OC. You can then either make a post about how you think the interaction will play out (can be a short-fic, drabble, general thoughts, headcanons, whatever you want), or you can chat to the creator of that Merlin and have fun discussing the idea with them (you don't have to post a summary of the Merlins' interaction, but I think it'd be fun to see). You can participate even if your Merlin isn't on the wheel, though if you'd like them to be added feel free to reach out.
To make these interactions easier to find please use the tags #merlinverse, #merlinverse interactions and the tags for the ocs involved in any post you make (tags under cut).
Rules:
Be respectful of your fellow creators, don't harass anyone.
Be mindful that the person you're chatting to may be busy and unable to respond quickly.
No NSFW or sensitive topics unless you and the person you're chatting to have BOTH agreed to it (please add the appropriate warnings to your post too).
Would y'all be interested in a discord for us tumblr merlins?
Hell yeah! \○/
Nahhh :D

Credits to @kot-zl for allowing me into one with other merlins. It's just that I haven't interacted much with that circle as yet, but they seem amazing and I do wanna get to know em all eventually!
So maybe we could all join them? Or make a new one just for us? Idk about anything, but I thought I'd share and hear what you guys have to say. I think it'll make stuff like organizing events like @msbiaxalblanc 's amongus game, and just keeping track of everyone's lore, just easier, yk?
I wanna hear what y'all think of it cause I really want it to happen. ^w^
Your Merlin learns a spell from... Molpe!
I typically don't do grayscale but this was a fun practice with such a pretty character from @mcnana! I think Molpe's lore is also very intriguing and cool :>.
@meepinmeat Alright so I'm spinning the wheel and it has spoketh with this prompt > Teaches a new skill to... Celestino
At most I can see Pirin teach him a new language?? Or weaving, making intricate tapestries if it piques Cel's interest. Sewing and knitting/stitching as a sort of just in case skill to have handy, you never know if/when it will pay off. Seeing as how Tino is a god/demigod... Vanya honestly doubts he can teach this funky Celestial man anything new or worthy to write home about.
Still tries!
Or something adventure-related/travel wisdom?
Tea??
Prompt: Compare opinions about Lavinia with Starhawk
Well that's a funny situation, eh? @fujimomozane I can see for some reason Pirin ended up in Starhawk's Mythic House, likely chasing after an anomaly or just got it done with.. Or Merlin effed up again, either way here we are! Somehow the conversation goes to Lavi, and Vanya is trying no to gush about her - Like how well she's gotten with magic-wielding lately, or her combat prowess keeps growing (He's teaching her alll about combat. I mean it.) and how excited he is for her. (Dame and her hubby either bout to have their kiddo or already do.)
A chatterbox trying to suppress himself from babbling, let Starhawk actually get a darn word in, and apologizing about not letting him talk/chatting his head off.
A dance maybe..?
Prompt: Offers to dance with...Molpe
To be honest... He hasn't ran into Molpe very often or knows this magister well enough. May try to ask for a dance awkwardly in very broken Spanish, as he doesn't know the lingo. It's why he didn't teach Molpe a new skill as well- Not that Vanya doesn't like the Magister! Or is avoidant! ;-;) Pirin just really has no clue..
Bickering pt 3
Prompt: Playfully argues/banters with... Violyste
@magister-violyste Ahh yes, bickering or bantering. At least won't be an 'Edward Elric' moment this time around. Instead could be more of a back and forth of witty quips, exchange of knowledge. Pirin is known as a Burning star. Mind you, he's not quite regarded as a literal one... But who knows? Not much is known about the true origins of Night nymphs and many have speculated in the past for them to be actual stars, or star-spirits?? Simply these beings have some ties to the stars for sure in a way.
Bickering pt 4
Playfully argues/banters with...Zelda also known as 'Adherents!Soren bullying poor Mather again'.
@fgfirenation This man can't catch a damn break it seems. From being teased about being a literal star and enduring a good-intentioned cross-survey/ asked lots of questions, to being bullied for being short by a bearman again like last time. This time this fool has not one, not two but three to tease for being short-stacks.
Pirin, primarily as the shortest of the trio, Raptor and Ludovic who brought this workaholic (work-addict) to the tavern. Otherwise Vanya and Zelda could swap tea about their partners.
Bickering pt 5 huh?
Or Celestino joins the bullying and later tea about partners.
Seriously, what's with being teased left and right today??
Temporarily swaps universes with....Molpe
I don't know anything about Molpe so can't say anything..;-;)
Maybe Molpe becomes the Moon (like admin) of Pirin's Esperia if we're running the meta premise. But none of the squad knows Spanish so barrier goes hard unfortunately...
Another dance
Prompt is 'Offer to dance with...Sena' on the wheel heh.
@bunnybird-afk Pirin offers his patron to dance, or simply these two hanging out as it's been likely so long since last time. It could be Desi dance or Bulgarian or a funky mix of the two for laughs, being silly. And does Malak's herald have tea to spill to him if he hasn't already about a certain Graveborn..
..Assuming that certain Graveborn hasn't broken the news to Sena first, in the first place.
Omfg i’m scared of all the interactions with Scylla, there’s three in total now i’ll have to pick one that has the least chance of them beating eachother to death.
Yes i spun the wheel like crazy so i could draw them poorly
My addition to the Merlinverse Interactions Game, with @windmaedchen-oceanhorn 's character, Lavinia.
Background: I feel like in a combined canon, Sena would absolutely take on Lavi as his official apprentice, both to help her wield her abilities better and to shield her from any backlash she may have gotten for ever ‘colluding’ with a Hypogean. Sena may hate throwing around his title as Merlin, but he will absolutely do it if it means protecting Lavinia (especially considering she’s now his soon to be daughter-in-law).
Prompt: Sena offers to dance with Lavinia.
Word Count: 1256
Sena couldn’t help but smile fondly as he watched Valen and Lavinia dance together, the widest grins on their faces as Valen gracefully twirled his bride-to-be. Sena had to admit, it was nice seeing Lavinia let loose like this, especially knowing how anxious his apprentice had been about large crowds in the past.
Though he supposed that was to be expected after everything she had been through. Between her residual trauma and her fear of losing control of her new powers, it had been a rocky road for her, even with Sena’s guidance. And while Lavinia had definitely come a long way since then, the mage knew in his heart that the invisible scars would be the ones that took the longest to heal.
“Sena, my love, I can practically hear you overthinking.” Hogan teased gently, snapping him out of his reflections.
“Ah, sorry. I think I just got lost in my own head for a second.” He said, flashing Hogan a reassuring smile.
The General shook his head fondly, reaching out to give the mage’s gloved hand an affectionate squeeze. Even through the fabric, he could feel the familiar warmth and pressure of Hogan’s hand intertwined with his own, helping him feel more at ease. “You can relax, my love. Valen and Lavinia are having fun, and even if something does go wrong, we’re right here to step in.” Hogan reasoned, his thumb rubbing gentle circles across Sena’s hand.
Between the soothing gesture and the laughter coming from the young couple across the room, Sena couldn’t help but release some of the tension in his shoulders, melting a bit more into his seat. “I suppose you’re right,” he started before turning to his husband with a teasing smile. “Though I’m not sure you’d be much help considering how tight that suit jacket is on you.”
Hogan scoffed affectionately at that, “Says the man who’s been complimenting me about it all evening.”
“Can you blame me?” the mage asked smugly, once again appreciatively eyeing the way Hogan’s jacket clung to his form, earning him a playful flick to the forehead. Sena pretended to look offended at that, even letting out a soft, indignant sound of disapproval before the two of them eventually devolved into a fit of stifled laughter.
Sena had noticed the disapproving glances of course, but shrugged them off easily enough. No one here was bold enough to directly criticise ‘The Great Magister Merlin’ after all, much less his spouse, ‘The Empire’s Bastion’. Unfortunately, they were not smart enough to extend that same courtesy to Lavinia and Valen.
Almost an hour later, people had barely started to murmur about Lavinia’s so-called ‘past transgression’ before Sena was out of his seat. Hogan reached out, quickly grabbing the mage by the sleeve, giving him a concerned look. Sena was usually extremely calm and collected, but when he had that protective, slightly feral look in his eye it usually meant someone was about to be picked apart by his words until they were on the verge of tears. Not that they didn’t deserve it…But a banquet hall was barely the right place for that.
“I’m not going to confront them, Hogan.” Sena reassured, “I’m just…going to send a message. A deterrent if you will?” Sena smiled a hint of mischief in his eyes. Hogan sighed at that, letting go of the mage’s sleeve. He’d have to admit, he’d wanted to shut them up too, so he wasn’t going to deny Sena that very opportunity.
Sena gracefully made his way over to Lavinia and Valen, who greeted him with a smile. “Hey da- Magister. What brings you here?” Valen grinned, looking a little embarrassed at his slight slip-up.
“Nothing much, just checking in on my dear son and lovely apprentice,” Sena said, just loud enough that the nearby nobles overheard.
Valen caught on immediately, wrapping a protective arm around Lavi’s waist. “Not to mention future daughter-in-law,” he tacked on casually, though he was practically beaming with pride at the thought and Lavinia couldn’t help but roll her eyes fondly at that statement.
Sena smiled at that, “Speaking of which, would you do your future father-in-law the honour of a dance, Dame Lavinia?” he asked, bowing slightly, holding out a gloved hand. Lavinia smiled sweetly at that, placing her hand in Sena’s own.
“Of course, Magister Sena.” She replied, returning the half bow.
They took the dancefloor, one of Lavinia’s hands resting on Sena’s shoulder and the other in his outstretched hand, Sena’s own hand placed politely on Lavinia’s upper back.
“It’s sweet what you’re doing, Magister, but the rumours really don’t bother me all that much anymore.” Lavina said as they began to sway in time to the music. Sena couldn’t help but smirk at that. Of course, Lavinia had already caught on to what was happening. The girl always was as sharp as a blade, even if she did hide it well. It’s probably part of why she and Valen had always gotten along so well.
“Can you fault this old man for being a little protective of his apprentice?” Sena said, half-jokingly. It wasn’t like she really needed his protection, not between her mastery of the sword and the adept way she wielded her new abilities. Still, Sena had never been able to truly squash the strange paternal instincts he felt towards the woman.
“No, I suppose I can’t.” she smiled, returning his jovial attitude. “If anything, I should probably thank you.”
Sena shook his head at that, casually twirling Lavinia before continuing, “I think I should be the one thanking you, Lavi.” Sena glanced towards the sidelines where Valen and Hogan stood, smiling gently as they watched the pair dance. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen my son as happy as he is when he’s with you.” Sena continued, familial warmth practically radiating from him, “And in the end, seeing our children happy is all any parent really wants out of life…So again, thank you Lavi.”
Lavinia smiled at that, something bittersweet in her tone as she remembered her own father, “I suppose so…” she shook herself out of her revelry. “Though I must admit, Valen makes me just as happy if not more so. He truly has been my rock through everything that’s happened,” she said, fondness audible in her tone. “You and General Hogan truly raised an amazing man.”
Sena chuckled at that. “He did turn out surprisingly well, didn’t he?” the mage joked. “I ought to give Hogan credit for that, honestly. While Val may have picked up on both our best traits, I’m afraid he gets his recklessness and impulsivity from me…”
Lavinia couldn’t help but laugh softly at that, “Yes, he certainly is a handful. Though I think that may be part of the reason I love him.”
Sena grinned at that, “Oh, you don’t know the half of it. Did I ever tell you about the time Valen attempted to bake something with Chippy and almost set the Mystical House’s kitchen on fire?”
“Did he really?” Lavinia gasped, shock and amusement clear on her face.
“He did,” Sena affirmed, mischief twinkling in his eyes, “And what’s worse is that he was sixteen when this happened…”
Valen and Hogan watched from the sidelines, looking on fondly as their partners laughed and chatted as they danced. “Dura above, how did I ever get this lucky?” Valen mumbled to himself, a lovesick look on his face.
Hogan chuckled, shaking his head. “I’ve been asking myself that same question for twenty years now…”
