Finally! The thinking sprite for my Ludovic askblog, @silent-elegist, is done! Sad/tired one is in progress. Ah yes, Ludo in Finchverse actually got revived by Merlin and died at 25, so he became GB at 25... after enduring ten years of bedridden suffering and agonizingly slow decay on the inside due to his illness coming back when Merlin resurrected him first time.

Lilith games touching the lore thoughts…

I may be outta the fandom, but I still love this game - and what devs are doing is Stupid. Devs, for the love of earth, stop what you've been huffing and fix this mess.

What did rep quests ever do to you? Removing Battle Drills? Okay, fine, I guess. Maybe? I dunno.

But removing lore? Touching the lore - which you literally advertise since ever, 'cause it's an OPEN WORLD RPG gacha game? …Y'know, something that literally needs a story? What gets players hooked on the product and keeps them around? Yeah? You do know people who don't care about lore can SKIP and get their rewards? Or just.. not bother with clan rep quests?? Right? So why, oh why pray tell, remove it??? And just - what're you doing, Lilith?

Yeah, I'm not happy with what you did to Starter Story, replacing it with Homestead ( but there's still lore in a way, so it's ok ) or the Voyage of Wonders thing.

But those I could kinda look aside - except for when you touch the damn lore AND REMOVE IT!

Also, did you not clock in that artists, theorists, lore players, fan-writers and others are like… dunno… MARKETING TEAM in a way? Sure, we ain't hired and paid like typical official marketing team, but we still do a lot of promoting. And it's effective. More than your ads!

You want that marketing & advertisement gone, devs? That's gonna lead to dropping revenue. Actually you losing a lot of money!

Ye, big spenders give revenue, but… you need numbers, big numbers, to keep the product relevant long-term or you'll end up with something like Overwatch.

Spenders will quit, too, at some point. Because they got no competition in rankings. It's already started happening! You know, what gets you revenue? Them buying all those packs 'n what-not. To stay top ranks, competitive, etc.

(Nevermind that many folks also found friends through this game, although you don't seem to care about that. Only money.)

Also, buying cosmetics from travelogues and Rosy cosmetics, which have been, in my humble opinion, getting just wayyy too expensive. ( Rosy store and cosmetics was a mistake from the start, but whatever- )

Recently poor designs too for Fable Road ( Taurus outfit- ) and not to mention the mostly bland ones from Velvet Store!

Lilith games, do you really wanna speedrun becoming Overwatch and have a dead game? ….Like your other game, Dislyte? (Even though I hear that one's still floating - unlike Overwatch. But you get it.)

Guess you don't actually want money - enshittifying your product in all directions with stupid decisions, driving off marketing (let's face it, your "ads" are shit. No one likes those bullshit ai ads.), ignoring major part of your player base (low-mid spenders, f2p. ) and their feedback… What're you doing?

If you want money, stop this stupidity. Fix your mess. Improve the product actually, and why not… make a merch-store where people can buy stuff? If you got one, promote it more & better, 'cause only contests ain't good enough. (Also, apparently, even those rewards were reduced???)

And, while at it…. Cut back on shoving ai down our throats!!!

(Being a Chinese company ain't an excuse or a pass, because I've seen some people are trying to justify stuff like these with these kinds of replies. If the devs want to, they can do quality stuff over quantity! Saying that " they can't do that, because they're a Chinese company " is a bland af excuse!)

I promise you, humans, most humans, actually like and want HUMAN-MADE stuff! Trust me on that!

Seriously, fix your mess and stop with the stupidity.

Moving on and thoughts...

Currently giving myself a break from studying for this. ....Y'all I'm tired. And got a lot on my mind these days. But mostly that maybe it's time for me to leave the Journey fandom 'cause it ain't fun anymore.

There are... a lot of toxic people in fandoms, always will be yeah, but this one feels.. bit more so. Like the toxic folks outnumber the decent ones, and been making the space just particularly stinky. It starts out fun and nice, but then it becomes this not-so-great place, and sucks the joy out. Plus energy, kills passion.

And there are people who only care about themselves, without caring at all if them spreading their misery damages others. Even less how bad the damage can get. They don't care if they bring harm, of any kind. And honestly? I hopped on at first to have fun, so yeah creating is a hobby to me and something I do to wind down. It's not my job to put up with toxic people.

Funny how I did want to at least try lowering the toxicity, try to reach out and point out all the nasty problems in this space - as if that would help stop it from getting even more toxic. Preserve the good parts from going bad. Well that was naive. ...Then I just gave up, don't think it's worth it when most folks seem to not even know or care there are problems going on. Like just being blind, deaf, sleepwalking zombies. Call it whining, whatever. Plus... Yeah no this fandom makes me feel uncomfortable and unsafe, 'cause goddamn does it look and feel like it's full of weirdos, creeps and also toxic people while the decent folks are very rare and few in number. Not as chill as it seems at a first glance, this fandom. (I almost want to say it's like the TADC fandom but eeh, nope. I don't wanna get into that one just to see how bad it is and then make the comparison, so not gonna compare these two at all.)

Bruh two years of bullshit. Mostly negative shit, me just minding my own business and tryna have fun, and getting shit on for no reason. Sorry but I ain't making 'em three. Two's enough. This is all I can and honestly need to say.

Will I create for the game? Eh, maybe. Probably to finish the story and wrap up Pirin's journey as Merlin. Maybe draw something if I feel inspired or something. Definitely will still roleplay with my character askblogs because I like roleplay in general. But that's it. And no, creating for a game out of loving it does not necessarily always = being part of the fandom and engaging with it.

Note: Just because I'm trying to add some humour by being wee goofy while writing this, does not mean I'm not feeling drained.

Got the skin, and it BROKE me. I always been a Valen (& Sinbad) simp, just got loot less vocal about it... Well now Imma start being as loud about simping over Valen as I am about simping over Perseus. >:) Also Merlin may or may not put the main timeline of my verse on pause, cut the Valesa family (Lud, Anna, Florent) out of it... put them in an alt timeline, and then get Valen back with Pirin - fix a bit of their memories - and let the timeline resume.... No surprises if he does that. Which means 1) Valen never met Kallina, 2) he never knew her, 3) Val/Kallina never happened at all. Yup. Regrets? None.

Valen can FOLD me, I mean it. This man can fold me like a lawn-chair and I won't be complaining at all. Valen can use his usual charm, and I'm floored- Valen with summer skin gonna make me lose my mind-

Update/Edit: Officially recovered yesterday, still need to take my meds. But still, I recovered. Now I'm making sure I don't do something stupid to set myself back at square 0. ('Cause 10 or so days of fever temp yoyoing and feeling like a squeezed rag on a furnace ain't fun.) Didn't wanna make a new post so just edited this one with the new info. ye. Having a day off today from studying whoo! And posting Everbloom Eclipse (also known as GraveMuse & many other names)...

"Always you" - A poem & painted memories. (Also one of those paintings is a meme ref.)

"Unorthodox dance" - or, these two slow-dancing (And I messed up the arm but hey. The spell is floating cellos playing music for ambiance.. or spectral candles, again, ambiance.)

And... a story, about these two fools. ...See, in a sense.. Pirin has always been Ludovic's muse - from piquing his scholarly curiosity as a rare specimen, to captivating with his ethereal beauty and fiery spirit & brilliant mind.. to the nymph's inspiring resilience and love for knowledge as a person, always seeking to learn new skills. It was ironic how in truth both of them are tired of endless years, in a way, and painfully reserved, quiet; Shouldering tragedy's weight... And still, it was Pirin who was most sociable & energetic - even if it was mostly him playing Merlin. And it was him, who got the melancholic artist to start getting out of his shell(s).

Though progress was painful push & pull: Pirin dragging and forcing Ludovic out of his comfort zone, actively challenging him, upheaving his world & status quos in shambles; Ludovic in turn digging his heels at times, being particularly thorny and hissy (pridefully defensive), biting with his sarcasm, sassy humor and sharp-tongued. ...But it was worth it in the end, for both of them. (And then their roles flipped - Pirin getting steered out of his comfort zone by his friend.. sort of a payback.)

Through this, both got to know each other so much better than before. Eventually long story-cut-short: Everything worked out. And lead happy lives.. undeaths...? Afterlives...??? -They're happy & content... mostly. Still having arguments at times.

Some sketchbooks I've made that I'm proud of! Some are for ship pairings like GraveMuse (Ludrin, Stranvic, formerly 'Dragonpaint'), Straneus, BlindCello, Valen/Kallina or also Kaval. And one for the Hestios family (No, not Hestios-Valesa one.) plus.... "The beginning" story! But a physical paper & ink copy that covers the first 6 arcs of Pirin's journey - Starter story to CoE. And a physical copy of "From our ashes..." story that's in the works. Yup, taking a break from studying today because 1) feeling tired & lazy, 2) it's the weekends so I'm pardoned, 3) my head doesn't go kaboom from reading nonstop-no-breaks... and I don't burn myself out. (..been inching to that one a bit, heh. almost overworked myself, oops.) Anyways! Here they are!

Ioan Hestios, most commonly known as "Pirin" and less as "Stranja"... If he was half Eclipse, half Crimsonfang. Or just had lot more Crimsonfang blood in his veins than Moirai and Eclipse. And his dad's genes didn't wheeze right past him. Got to be a dainty, pretty lil flower instead and near spitting image of his mother. To the point he gets mistaken for a flat-chested woman.

The picture features an older Ludovic who is wed to Stranja, a night-nymph; along with them "meeting" the Valesa heir's younger self & illusion- a mirage of the distant past, spun from magic-vision. (And Pirin being concerned as to why Merlin had to conjure that vision "sculpture", and the dress being like a straightjacket.) The scene surrounded by Everblooms on the right/left and roses & Lisianthus flowers on the left/right. ...Also known as "Poorman's roses". "Bijin" - A song that I tie to this year as I do this reclaimed doodle.

I've been sorta shifting gears to focus more on my sideblogs (<- my askblogs bookmark post) - while procrastinating - and writing again... If I don't answer right away, chances are I'm probably doing something else - drawing, writing, reading or timezone & irl stuff. Only times I ignore is if it's disrespectful as heck and trying to stir up troubles 'n arguments - I don't vibe with drama and like to keep it peaceful. Other than that case, I'm likely distracted or doing something else & didn't see my notifs.
