Things have settled down since. Somewhat. The Magister Supreme who helped to detain Gervan during the third trial and verify a special memory star that now sits by on Cyran's desk in his office. Having given it a much thorough review of which he couldn't conduct back at the Lyceum.
Just then, a familiar special aura fills the room. Bypassing all security measures with ridiculous ease as per usual. Airy giggles sounded throughout as Memphis enters the study. The Umbral Gem that should've stayed crushed is now fully intact and being cradled in both her hands. As if she had taken the time to gather all its pieces and assemble them back together.
"Oh Cyran, I love it~! I love the gift you made for me! It's a shame I couldn't save the echo you sealed in it but I enjoyed it while it lasted." She gushes as she nuzzles the gem. A jovial grin plastered on her face, looking at him dreamily. Definitely having enjoyed being restrained and rendered helpless for a short amount of time, "I wonder how long you took to prepare it, proposing through the runes in the binds..? It felt like you were right there at the moment.. hugging me so tight~"
She stops just shy of his desk as her grin softens into a little demure smile, "..Have you seen my response in the Memory Star? Along with the memories of us together..? I even had Fyona put in some of her own too, like a family project!" She beams up at Cyran as she asks. Her gaze hinted at a gleam of mania yet also, the same prodigal sweetheart he's come to known before.
I knew you'd come. My dearest Memphis.
That gift... hah. *Cyran sighs as he envisions once more how his spell must have restricted her, drawing all her attention, away from the others.*
It was needed, I'm afraid, to serve two purposes. One more than the other, believe me. Your response... tells me you have recognized it.
*Cyran slowly stands up from his chair, approaching the lady by his desk, stopping at only a hand's distance from her.*
And my gem. There was no need. The price was well worth its loss. But, of course, you may keep it now that you have taken the effort to reassemble its parts.
And your response, I have studied it over and over. Of course, even Fyona wouldn't object. But you know... nothing is truly recognized unless it's official. Now that I have asked and you have answered... perhaps doubt is no longer our companion in regards to us.
