If anyone was interested in the deck that I play (read: absolutely nobody), here's a really good duel of Thunder family WRECKING Mermails.

I love how pretty much all the Mermail builds are diverse right now.  I haven't seen anyone completely agree on what the best build is anymore.  

(Although you will almost never see me play 45+ cards, that's all I'm going to say, haha)

I will almost never Patrick Hoban this deck

1000 actually can make a giant difference, especially in a grindy format like this one.  In a game where you want the game to go slow, you will do small pokes at damage, and potentially giving an extra turn may kill you.  In a game where you want to end fast, Upstart is counterintuitive to that.  Merms isn't a deck that can OTK through Upstart that easily, especially if you "don't like to simplify the game in a combo deck." (Hoban phrasing, obv.)

Yes, I still think Infantry and MST are good.
