Merman Ginga 🐬 Some final thoughts on Day 2

Sorry this page took awhile but I had stuff to get done during Spring Break! Anyhow, Ginga is just lost in his thoughts. He's happy he rescued the Princess from death twice now but he is determined to finally tells her how he feels tomorrow. Hopefully he doesn't get any more disruptions. Also we get to learn a little bit about merfolk here.

Merfolk live 300 years at the price of not having a soul. And humans live less but they become immortal afterwards. If a human were to love a merman/mermaid the merperson will gain an immortal soul as well after they pass on. (This is taken straight from the source material by Hans Christian Andersen)

🐬 MERMAN GINGA AU: Kindness

Having correctly guessed Ginga's name, Princess Himeko extends her invite to the local festival tomorrow with her new guest. Ginga is speechless on the inside too because he always dreamed of being able to meet her. He's happy that she wants fo go anywhere with him. Needless to say, he's overjoyed despite the hardships he must face being a merman on land.

Merman Ginga- DELETED SCENE "Feather of Truth"

So I had an idea for the next scene but I wasn't sure if it was needed or not? But I think it's a good Ginga & Kazuya scene.So since I am not gonna draw it, I shall write it out instead:

DAY 3. KAZUYA enters GINGA's room as he begins to wake up.Princess HIMEKO's spell has worked & his back injuries have healed up. KAZUYA greets him properly but with a strict tone.

KAZUYA: (Opening the curtains in his room) Good morning.The Princess instructed me to allow you to sleep until you awakened on your own.

KAZUYA walks closer to the bed. Ciphens a beautiful prism colored feather and hands it to GINGA. He looks confused at the feather wondering why he has given this to him?

KAZUYA: This is a powerful object called The Feather of Truth. If you hold it, it shall reveal to me wether you lie or speak the truth. I am going to ask you several questions.You will nod if the answer is yes or shake your head if the answer is no.Since you are mute,I had to find an alternative way to interrogate you.As the Head Advisor & High Priest of Heartland,it is my duty to eliminate any threats to the royal family.I'm sorry, but due to the circumstances, I'm afraid I cannot blindly trust you. Are you ready?

GINGA nodded nervously but he wanted to gain his trust.The feather began to glow. The feather grew magnetically attached to his hand & felt like it weighed a ton!

KAZUYA: Did you come from a land far away & if so, are you a dangerous spy from another kingdom?

GINGA: (nods once & shakes his head) *Feather glows blue*

KAZUYA: Are you of royal lineage yourself?

GINGA:(nods) *Feather glows blue*

KAZUYA: Do you plan to harm any of the royal family members of Heartland?

GINGA: (Tearful, desperately shakes head) *Feather glows blue*

KAZUYA: Did you endure something dangerous or painful before coming here?

GINGA:(sadly nods) *Feather glows blue*

KAZUYA: Is Ginga your true name?

GINGA:(nods)*Feather glows blue*

KAZUYA:Are you planning to return to your home? Are you allowed to go back?

GINGA:(hesitates, then sadly shakes his head twice) *Feather glows blue*

KAZUYA: Hmmm...It seems like the reason you left must have been complicated.It must have been exile or (thinks)...Did you run away?

GINGA:(misty-eyed nod) *Feather glows blue* He drops his head trying to hide his embarrassment.

KAZUYA: (waves his hand & the feather disappears) That's enough... The feather says you have spoken the truth.I'm...sorry for doubting you but please understand...It is my job to protect the royal family.I can see you are truly here as a refugee just as Princess Himeko predicted. Thank you for your cooperation.

GINGA bows apologetically towards KAZUYA, whom is taken aback by the gesture.

KAZUYA:(a bit flustered)Uh!..There's no need for that! Clearly you came here after a tragic event.But don't worry, it's over now. I'm glad you're not a threat...I was hoping for that especially since the Princess seems to- I mean... *shakes head & coughs* Anyway, you're awake now. My orders were to escort you to the royal pool. Let's get you ready.

GINGA: (beams happily)

*He thinks that the Heartland Royal Family is lucky to have a Royal Advisor who cares about them so deeply. Even though he was terrified of Kazuya's interrogation, he was happy to do it, if it meant gaining his trust. *

And so Princess Himeko took Ginga into town to see the Festival where they enjoyed many joyous activities! He saw edible candy clouds ☁️

Bubbles that floated in the air instead of the sea 🌊

There were petting zoos full of all sorts of fascinating creatures he'd never seen in the sea

He got excited over the human theatre 🎭, although he was a fellow thespian in his underwater kingdom, he was blown away by the stories told above

And thus the evening ended with a wonderful waltz as twilight came near. Everything seemed to melt away with the Princess. He was so overjoyed that he forgot about the pain and his voiceless curse. He cherished it all ❤️

((Yes in this version of Ye Olde Heartland, you have an entire Kuriboh Petting Zoo! I think I drew inspiration from the type of world we saw in the Noah Arc of the original YuGiOh where there was a Princess Mokuba XD and such))

🐬 LITTLE MERMAN GINGA AU Pt.??

I am writing at 3am so I can't be bothered to go look up what chapter I'm on. I was gonna draw the entire scene of how Ginga's wounds were treated & how he was bathed & dressed before allowing him to rest but that would take too long. So I just skipped to the part where Princess Himeko is speaking with her older brother Prince Isamu & younger sister Princess Miu about the situation.

Her kind sister Miu is sympathetic towards Ginga while Isamu is much more hesitant to let him stay. Because he is the next in line for the throne,he doesn't like anything that could be a potential threat to the royal family & later on will instruct the royal advisor Kazuya to do the same. Unbeknownst to Himeko though, Ginga only has 3 days in the human world. So she won't need a fortnight to see his fate...

Merman Ginga 🐬 Healing Time

IM SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG BUT I TRIED MY BEST. I have more for this scene but its hella late so I can try to get some more done tomorrow if I have time. But yeh, in this Heartland Kingdom, the Royal family & Royal Advisor are all able to use some form of magic. Princess Himeko doesn't specialize as much in healing magic- that one is more so something her sister is better at but because she feels that Ginga got hurt because of her, she wanted to be the one to heal him. Honestly she surprised herself with that hug probably even more so than he was. She lowkey doesn't know why she is so attached. But yeh, minor setback for Ginga but hopefully when they can have a better day tomorrow ❤️
