You rub your eyes as you wake from your sleep. Looking at the clock, it’s currently 9:29 in the morning. That late already? And merold’s still asleep beside you. Maybe… he wouldn’t wake up if you just… get up quietly?

Getting up as careful as possible to not make a single noise to awake the sleeping man beside you, it was a success at first. You got a single foot on the floor toes first with your hands supporting you to get up quietly, until hands quickly wrap around you in an attempt to hold you back.

In surprise, you look behind you - a reflex more than anything, you were kind of subconsciously aware it was Merold. And in all of his glory, there was he - Merold, looking at you with slightly tired unfocused eyes. His hair was frankly, all over the place. You could’ve laughed at the disheveled sight in front of you right now. And his ahoge was… let’s just say, something. For the sake of it.

“Mm … what are you doing? Don’t tell me you’re trying to get out this early? Stay in bed with me.” His voice was raspy, unlike the soft, lazy, melodic voice that he usually has. Which was expected since he had just woken up. It was also quite unlike him to stay in bed for this long.

Just as you were about to lay back down yourself, Merold drags you down, snuggling closer to you, wrapping his arms around you just as he places his head on your chest. Well… ah… you won’t pass this chance up of not cuddling with your boyfriend when he’s free, would you?

me? reusing the SAME mero banner from the previous post …? ah , no , how could that be !? i would… i would never ! nope ! i couldn’t help but write merold with a bedhead. c’mon ,, i keep talking about bedheads because my hair in the morning is not peak .. i consider , this post is special , because there is a gift at the end… despite my pen not cooperating when it has perfectly new ink… ( ´ ▽ ` ) it was a very quick yet fun write. the drawing took… most of my time …! id like to sneak in a note that this was based off of my morning earlier, which i swear i woke up and i heard merold’s voice in my ear. i got so scared ??? and confused too ????? I did NOT fall asleep with my headphones last night either

enough about the boring stuff .. it’s monday AGAIN tomorrow …? im frankly quite dreading it already. and i JUST got a surge of motivation!!! aahhh .. u can’t be serious right now. but , my mero plushie should be arriving 10 days from now !!!!! im so excited to see him ahahhh official merch is hard to find where im from unfortunately , so ive been sticking to unofficial stuff that ive made and bought but AHHH to get my hands on a mero plushie will be the day i can ascend in peace..

oot , here’s the drawing … my pen wouldn’t cooperate with the ahoge so i just gave up. and this was quite rushed too . was i lazy ??? yes ! why it take almost an hour ??? no clue

A while ago I made a redesign of Hallritt so I figured I would make one of Merold and then I forgot about it for a really long time hahahaha

To be fair I don’t really have any issues with Merold’s design the way I did for Hallritt but I thought it might be interesting to exaggerate some shapes a bit more— puffy sleeves and a larger jacket to appear a bit more intimidating and imposing as he’s known as the most powerful knight, for example. I was designing with a sort of court jester/wizard/advisor appearance in mind and I’m not sure I accomplished that but hopefully he looks less modern than his canon counterpart. I also changed up his hair a little bit so that the ahoge looks kind of like a quarter note in following with the My Melody theming.
