ngl merops doesn't do much, but I think hes kinda an underrated black character in Greek mythology, kinda, since he adopted Phaethon, a kid who wasn't his. i dunno i just imagine them having a good relationship

it is kinda funny how for sure for a time phaethon didnt know he was adopted.

the fact that aesacus was taught by his maternal grandfather (aka the one he shared with nisus) merops how to interpret dreams?? do you think he taught arisbe’s sons by hyrtacus too

and yeah i do imagine him to see priam’s children as older siblings and/or family friends despite arisbe and priam still being super awkward around each other
