rant n thoughts n stuff
I know everyone is always saying how it is inner beauty that is important and that society’s standards of women (and men) is ridiculous and I definitely agree. To anyone that feels that they aren’t beautiful and knowing that hurts them I am sorry that anyone has ever made you feel that way. Truely. Because it sucks feeling like you aren’t enough as your are.
But what about people that have been told from a very young age how pretty and how beautiful they are before they even know what those words mean? What about young girls(or guys) that are told they are gonna leave a trail of broken hearts, or that boys are gonna be lined up at the door or I hope your daddy has a shot gun. What happens to someone that goes their whole life being told that their outward appearance is their sole form of worth or value?
They believe it.
And so during the time you are considered ‘aesthetically pleasing’ you feel good because you have your beauty to offer to the world. But if in your head you believe that’s all you have, what happens when other people don’t think of you that way? You go your whole life thinking that your worth as a human being is determined by what other people think of you.
How messed up is that?
And then how do you change that? How can you challenge that kind of thinking that has been forced on you for your entire life from every possible outlet of information around you? How can you find value and worth and substance inside yourself when your whole life you have been told that your outside is your best feature?
facts about tamar shepard: - chain smoker even before cerberus, she always has a pack on her and unlike the alliance TIM is happy to oblige her nasty habit (granted i doubt there's much of a neg impact w/ all her weird body upgrades anyways~) - lost an eye before joining the alliance. they gave her a robotic/cyborgy one as a replacement that basically did the same thing as garrus' lil eye patch thing. after cerberus she takes to wearing one like he does bc she's uncomfortable w/o that cybernetic feedback - joker (and now edi) are the only people who have ever witnessed her crying. they never talk about it, the most he's ever done when she's there is put a hand on her shoulder and then maybe play some music - she's earthborn and the alliance didn't so much as rescue her from the gang life so much as they did blackmail her into it. - her and zaeed get along famously
my couple of weeks of assignment hell are finally over but its 12:44 at night and i'm still such a bundle of stress that i can't relax enough to sleep

I am going to fail my Ancient History exam.
Then I'll fail the HSC and I won't get an ATAR. I'm practically learning this syllabus from scratch. What is my life?
This basically how I feel right now.
"Arrrrrrrggggggggggh!" This is all.
