I'm not saying it's BAD or anything, not at all! I think it's a very fascinating interpretation of the lore, and it opens up the door for alot of interesting ideas!
But I hope it stays as an interpretation / AU, you know? I don't want it to be the lore.
I won't lie, I'm kind of a softie. Clone theory feels ... too sad. Dandy has suffered enough, you're gonna kill ALL his friends next? Have duplicates of dead people suffer for god knows how long not even knowing they are dead and just a copy while the OG is their twisted??? Need to reiterate it's not BAD in concept, in fact I literally have a fnaf muse that's just that idea. idk I just don't rock with it for dw in particular
Though again, DW is not my story && I'm not gonna get mad if it is true. I just REALLY hope it's not
You know what I DO love though? Alternates theory as a means to explain why a toon can encounter their twisted, OUGH
I think the idea that there is something shambling around that almost looks like you, sounds like you, maybe even thinks that it's you. That's not you. Is so horrifying and would play into that BATIM inspiration where there are multiples of a character. I just prefer it over clone theory by alot, and use it for the canon of my blog
EDIT: Though I will say! The idea my Dandy resurrects the toons is something I did in part pull from clone theory, as I like the idea he's just that desperate to "fix it" / that being one of his Delilahisms. I just tweaked it to that he's reviving the OGs rather than making clones of them
