Here's a more positive ramble! I am always happy when I see people roleplaying more "obscure" muses!

Like obviously, there's nothing wrong with sticking to the popular characters (Mario, for example). BUT! I always seeing more diversity in terms of characters and media in the RP space, and it introduces others to things that they might've never heard from before!

As a bonus point to being obscure is that you can get away with being more canon divergent and/or hc based without much issue. Especially if said media only gives you so much about a character. You're basically free to go nuts!

And it especially makes me happy to see the blogs that RP those muses gain traction for those muses. Like, people actually getting invested in an obscure blorbo? It's more likely than you think!

GIFT GIVING — STARING BALLISTIC && . . . || @ichorcenter

He's not there.

But a gift lays on the doorstep of Ballistic's toon room, delivered in the dead of night while nobody was looking.

The knight did not bother wrapping it; instead placing it in a giftbox that looked as such, to not rob of the merry nature, of course!

Within it lay a shining pair of gauntlets, one of Soulvester's many spares, no doubt.

A note accompanies the armor piece, sealed by wax && inked in a fine calligraphy:

My good friend and courageous cohort, while I am well aware of the knowledge that midwinter festivities art not your most favored time of the year, I do hope that you can still find joy in mine humble offering in spite of this fact—may it aid you in this, and future endeavors as a protector of toons everywhere.

I trust you will keep them safe in my stead, I put great faith in thou.

While his complaint was normally something she'd laugh off, Poppy was...

She didn't know what she was, but she did know that she wasn't herself. It was like she was actively being pushed out of her own body, or some equally as ominous-sounding simile. Everything, from moving to speaking, felt like it was in slow motion.

"It's... I don't know..." Poppy muttered, "I don't know what's- what's wrong with me... I just woke up, a-and..."

She should move, yet moving would require seeing, and seeing would require removing her hands from her face, which would expose exactly what she was trying to keep hidden. She didn't want to scare anyone, least of all Dew. She didn't want anyone to be scared of her.

Poppy wasn't scary! Poppy was... Poppy was...

... ... ...

She shuffled forward, keeping her head down enough so that she could get glimpses between her fingers (hopefully) without Dew catching flashes of angry red or streaks of dark Ichor.

Once Poppy was pretty sure she was fully inside his room, she lifted her head, but didn't yet expose her face.

"...C-can you close the door?"

She didn't want anyone else to see what was happening to her.

    One of his wrists rolls in recollective thought, other hand planted atop his hip.
