Mermaid tailfins bought, when underwater just look unnaturally...limp. Like the fins are flopping back and forth, flailing like, while dophin tails have muscle and bone.

I see these fake mertails flabbing underwater and im like "I know what its supposed to do but...its not doing it."

and the shiny scaled top is done!

I almost cut out the front panel with the scales upside down. I used a bodice pattern that fits me well and took in the sides because of the stretch of the fabric. I also hemmed the sides of the v shape at the bottom of the tailskin.

deerishus is such a wonderful friend. Seriously. The best. They drew out a basic tail and they're doing layer after layer of colour and pattern designs to help me get a really solid idea of what my own tail will look like.

So far we have two teal/blue ones, a bright red one and a brown/purple/yellow one.

What did I do to deserve such a friend?
