ARIZONA FRIENDS: Do you want to do something to gum up the works of ICE activity in this country? Do you want to do something to resist their growing presence here at home? Do you not know where to start?
Mesa is currently the only city in AZ that has a working agreement with ICE. The Mesa Municipal Airport has been facilitating deportation flights — people are being brought here from around the country to be flown out. We are a choke point! One airline has already shut down their contract because of public pressure.
If we can get the airport to reject ICE contracts, we can throw a wrench into the works of DHS, and end the poor conditions people are being held in at the airport.
