Spent a couple days Upstate New York photographing the people and town of Prattsville which was devastated in the Hurricane Irene 5 years ago by flooding waters. The story also took me to Albany where I photographed the resulting weather forecasting technology that was developed and implemented in the wake of the disaster. Read the full store here.

Pct of Normal Rainfall from 10/1 to 12/16. As you can see, we’re starting to dry out here in the Sooner state as drought begins to creep back in. Seems like we were running a huge surplus across much of the state not long ago. This stuff just sneaks up on you.
