it's fascinating that you defaulted to calling your hypothetical child a girl. i suppose this also means no staying over at family members' houses ever, then? no staying at the other parent's house if you split up? if we're going from the statistics, that is, it only makes sense of course to make sure that their grandparents know they're too much of a statistical risk.

just for safety!:) most child sex crimes are committed by people the children and parents know! No sleepovers just makes it a bit safer. We can frame it as “oh you can stay until 11pm but we have those breakfast plans so you can’t sleep over” so she doesn’t feel too left out, at least until she’s old enough to know what’s up!

i don't daydream much these days, though google tells me catastrophizing counts as daydreaming, and i do a fair amount of that, so.
