Opposites

I am the sun

And you are the moon

When our duties are done

We’ll meet at noon

I am the Ying

You are Yang

You’re like the bing to my bang

I am the heart

And you are the brain

Together we’ll stand through rain and pain

We shall never be apart

You are black

And I am white

In your darkness, I’ll be your light

And if you need me, I’ll have your back

And so you shine in the day

Under your light, people laugh and play

While I bloom in the night

When people sing; think and write

You may say we are different

Which is true

Yet no matter how different

I care about you

In many ways we are opposites

Flowers in the sea of roses and violets

But just like sun comes after the rain

So bright will shine our flame

And so, we shall shine our light

You in black and I in white

And regardless of differences in the end

In my heart, you are my friend
