Making Sense of the Senseless (Self RP)
Turning off the Metaroid alarm isn’t protocol, heading out to an Enetron leak alone isn't acceptable Buster practice and sending Nick off ahead because you know he’ll get lost is mostly immoral but, Hiromu needed to be alone to do this. He wanted to know something and having anyone else around would limit his ability to do so.
Which is why Hiromu exited shooter hatch X7-B alone and unknown to the rest. He ran towards the scene of the attack. An office building’s food court was the target of the Enetron disturbance. Hiromu didn't get far before he say a robotic man running from the building. He was pecular Metaroid, with what seemed like guns attacked to liquid canisters on his arms. “Hey!” Hiromu yelled out. “I’d like to ask you a few questions.” He then walked towards the enemy calmly and slowly.
The Metaroid looked at Hiromu confused. “Answer questions? I Juiceroid will do no such thing. Buglars!!!” A small group of minions appear all around the two, as he calls out to them.
Hiromu sighed as he walked forward. “I didn’t want to fight you… ” He turned his Morphin’ Brace.
“Just wanted to ask you a few things.” Hiromu’s suit appeared over him as he reached over and put on his visor with a “Let’s Morphin’”
Juiceroid laughed. “Why would I listen to you, when I have you surrounded. Attack!” He ordered as the Buglars got ready to charge the lone Buster.
Hiromu double-tapped his Transpod in response.
Two Sougan Blades appeared in his hands and he quickly pressed the switch on them to fill them with Enetron.
Hiromu spun around swinging the blades destroying all the surrounding Buglars with ease.
He then stood up again and walked forward. “Like I said… I only want to ask you a few questions.”
“Nonsense!” The Juiceroid lifted his guns up to attack. “Enjoy your citrusy death Red Buster!” He blasted away at Hiromu who quickly disappeared in a flash of green numbers. Before Juiceroid knew what was happening Hiromu appeared next to him. Juiceroid quickly turned to him and tried to spray at him again but, this time nothing came out of his guns. “Eh?”
Hiromu pointed at the cables connecting the guns to the juice canisters. As the Metaroid looked down he saw they were cut making his guns useless. “Can we talk yet?”
“Why you!” The monster threw his guns to the ground and threw a right hand at Hiromu. Hiromu deflects it aside and used the roid’s momentum against him sending it to the ground.
“Perfect now, for my pre-requisite question.” Hiromu spins his blade and steps over the Metaroid. “Do you have pain receptors?” He then plunged the blade into the machine’s right hand, pinning it to the ground. This resulted in a yelp of pain. “Good!”
Hiromu stomped onto the knife making sure the Metaroid’s hand wasn’t moving anytime soon. “Ahh!!! Get off me!” The robot tried to reach over with it’s free hand but, Hiromu grabbed it’s head and slammed it into the ground.
He then hopped onto the machines side, pinning down the free arm by sitting on its shoulder. “Alright then, now… Simple question… Simple answer! Then I let you go.” Hiromu held the machines arm still as he asked. “You’re programed to fight us right? You’re made to follow the rule of the Vaglass.”
“Stupid question!” The Juiceroid explained while trying to wiggle free. “Of course we are made to serve them, they are the rightful rulers instead of you weak bags of flesh.”
Hiromu grabbed his head again and slammed it into the ground. “Enough of that. Next question, if we didn’t fight you, if we didn’t destroy you on sight. We offer you kindness and compromise. Could you change? Can you undo your programming?”
The Juiceroid laughed. “What nonsense if this, how dare you try to even ask me such filth.” As the Metaroid continued to spew his loyality speech, Hiromu sighed and twirled the second blade he had with him. He then leaned over to the Metaroid’s free hand and put the blade under its pinky finger. “AHHH!!!”
The metal digit hit the ground and Hiromu sat back down on the robot. “Alright, you have 4 more wrong answers to give me.”
“You’re insane!” The roid yelled out.
Hiromu sighed again and another digit gets lopped off. “Come on now! Can you change? Can you be reprogrammed to co-exist with human? Is it possible?”
“I-I-I don’t know?” The Metaroid cried out. “This doesn’t make sense to me!”
Hiromu gripped his blade in anger and yelled out. “Non, non, non!” His voice was weird, almost like a static filter ran over it. During this moment he dug his blade into the Juiceroid’s arm and ripped into it, sparks and wires spilled out as it screamed.
The Metaroid could only scream in pain. “STOP! I REALLY DON’T UNDERSTAND! PLEASE JUST KILL ME ALREADY!”
Hiromu paused what he was doing and was confused as to how he got so angry. He moved the blade away and calmly exhaled. “Look, just stop for a second and think. Don’t think of what the Vaglass stands for or what you are programmed to do. Just think! Do you have it in you at all, to change?”
The Juiceroid lay silent for a moment. “Yes… We are capable of change. If given right reason and no repercussions, a Metaroid could coexist with humans. “
“I see…” Hiromu stood up from the Metaroid and pulled the blade from its pinned down hand. “Go!”
“Eh?” The Juiceroid rolled over confused. “What do you mean ‘Go’?”
Hiromu slammed his transpod again.
He held an Ichigan Buster in his hand and turned the lenses.
“You have five seconds.” Hiromu explained. Understanding the situation the Juiceroid attempted to get to its feet. “Five…” The Metaroid actually stands up and starts to stumble away. “Four…” The Machine keeps stomping along trying to get away when a blast blew threw his chest and he fell over into an explosion. “Zero.”
Hiromu sat down on the ground, trying to understand what he learned from this. They ‘can’ change but, could something like Messiah change? This wasn’t something Hiromu ever considered. The possibility that the war he’s been fighting for 14 years could have been avoided. The losses of his parents and Jin’s real body. All of these things avoidable? He didn’t understand, none of this made sense. Could Yuka be right? Did he yell are her for nothing?
Hiromu had none of these answer and plenty more questions. He just sat there his head in his hand, trying to make sense of any little possible thing but… Nothing was…
