Neptune represents the longing to redeem and be redeemed by something. Some people in this world are self-acclaimed messiahs and make it their mission to save the world and the people in it through freeing them from suffering, selfish obsessions, destructive self-talk, trauma, memories of the past, to see the truth clearly without distortion, to ”awaken to love”. Some people run from gurus, others are drawn to them. Some recoil in fear others welcome a return to empty oblivion and total presence because they’re too world-weary to go on. They want to surrender. They want the answer. They want to be free from fear.
We all need ease and temporary escape. Some people are more extreme and want to be completely in harmony & union with God or whatever greater cosmic consciousness should be called. It’s a trip and they’re here for it. The form it takes doesn’t really matter, the dynamic has to play itself out.
We’re all Neptune prone in the end, because we all need to forget to move on, to start from scratch, to render the contents and confines of our temporary existence insignificant.
