Behold, Achillia. The Goddess of Death.
IVANA BAQUERO as MESSIA SPARTACUS: HOUSE OF ASHUR | Season 1, Episode 3, "Unworthy"
Y'all... fuck Hilara (stupid bitch on the right played brilliantly by Jamaica Vaughn).
*spoilers ahead*
Now... I was happy to ignore her at first; I figured she was just putting on an act to please her Dominus and survive the hell of slavery.
But very quickly, I realized this is really her. Not only is this dummy bitch clearly in love with Ashur, she's delulu enough to think he loves her too. And at first, the audience is kinda led to believe he does... until we see him have a love-at-first sight moment with a highborn Roman widow.
Okay but what she mean by thisss
Very yes.
Again, focusing on Messia so, not much spoilers. Although some small ones I guess? Not sure. Including randomness of my own.
y’all i’m worried for our girl Messia 😭
@hedas-yellow-pillow pointed out that she was able to steal the opium undetected because house slaves always stand with their hands behind their backs… but the thing is, as i was watching i swore Cornelia clocked it
hard to see her precise eye line, but it seems to be following Messia's hands as she leaves. and even if not, we were shown the box only had three vials left—one going missing would be obvious.
when Cornelia entered, Messia was standing right next to the box & acting shifty (Cornelia called her "indolent"). Pompey was clearly drugged. i think it’s reasonable to assume Cornelia put two and two together ("I have underestimated you, Syrian. You have halted union between Viridia and Pompey as commanded, absent blood upon your hands"). will she allow the theft to go unpunished, even if it resulted in her desired outcome? will she extract some sort of price from Messia for it (inducing her to do some dirty work on her behalf, for example)?
but it’s not just the opium theft that worries me! her exchange with Cornelia from episode seven has lingered in the back of my mind—let’s break it down.
