     Simply put, she loves Lelouch more than anything. More than he’ll ever know, not because she isn’t telling him, but because she lacks the words to express how deeply she truly cares for him. She believes that they’re soulmates, that she’ll always be connected to him no matter what happens in every lifetime that they live. She’ll always find him, and she’ll always fall in love with him. It might sound silly when she says it out loud, but Shirley has grown past embarrassment for her thoughts like this. After all, it’s hard to doubt the reality when she’s lived it. When she’s lost her memories so many times, or had them completely rewritten, only to be again drawn to him and again loving him, even after learning about everything that he’s done. 

     Love is Power. And Lelouch is her strength and the power she can always rely on and trust. She knows, of course, that others might regard her as crazy if they knew the whole truth -- this is the man that caused the death of her father, after all. But she knows Lelouch, and it’s Lelouch she fell for. Again and again. She knows, and it’s because she knows him so well that she can forgive him. It still hurts, sometimes, when she thinks about the letters that will never come again. But she promised him she’d find someone who loves her just the same as she loves him, and in Lelouch she’s found that. 

     Despite seeing him as strong, however, she also knows that he isn’t. She strives to support him, to be his strength as much as she can, too. She knows how little he asks for help, how little he ever asks for anything in return -- so Shirley has to give all of it to him without him asking. She’s scared for him, sometimes. Being Zero has isolated him so much -- she knows the risks and she understands the need for the secrecy, but she also knows how much Nunna and the student council mean to him, and that it hurts to have to be apart from them like this. 

     She offers her support wherever she can and wishes to protect him -- she knows she’s not as strong or as well-trained as the other Black Knights, but she knows there are things that only she can do.

@lamentis just when you may think i’ve said every gay thing under the rainbow @ you, HELLO AXOL I’M HERE TO BE SUPER GAY. I honestly sometimes wonder how this even happened, like the most communication we had for months was talking through tags, maybe memes or replies to posts too & even then… discord happened and we got to talk a lot more & I really wouldn’t have it any other way. I know I’ve said this a lot but I really mean it when I say you do make me happy, like yeah gay but just whether it’s ikk.ent or umi.ne.ko or just anything whatsoever i rlly like talking with you and hearing what u have to say (or rather reading am i right JFKLDASJL) bc i wanna know what u think, legitimately always. I’m really glad we’ve met, and that we got to write these two gay boys in a healthy relationship, growing together as people. Seriously, I’m blessed to doki at you every day ♥ You know I love you a lot and I could honestly write an essay here, but I’m gonna stop myself before the gay gets 2 real for tumbles... I should also probably save at least a little something for the new year, right? ;-)

Hey uni did you know you’re an actual angel upon the rpc and you’ve united so many gays it’s unreal bc!! holy shit you’re always so welcoming and kind to everyone that it brings tears to my eyes. At least half the people I follow I got to know through you and it’s because of how you r, like literally no matter the fandom you’ve always been a positive influence, you’ve always done your best to interact with others, to promote people not many might know, to make the communities you’re a part of healthier as a whole fjaskdlfjasklfsdakjl like I’m not even joking here, every rpc you join becomes a better place simply because you’re in it AND I’M NOT JUST SAYING THIS ‘CUZ I’M 100% CERTAIN A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD AGREE ON THIS FJASLFADKSJ. You brought the c.g. rpc back to life like you’ve done with many others and lbr that’s a skill that stems from the fact that people feel safe with you around. Because srsly you’re such a good bean it’s unreal ♥

I’ve seen you write so many of these too, for so many people! Spreading positivity with every chance you get, actively excited to write and develop your muse, to explore AUs and write and talk with new people. Seriously, you’re wonderful and I’m so delighted to have you on my dash like you have no idea. I know we haven’t really written that much together, but I don’t even need that because your presence alone is a blessing.
