LOKI 1.03 "Lamentis" + incorrect quotes
Lamentis!
This episode wasn't about the plot, yes, but I think that the relationships between the characters are just as important, because they help them understand things and experience new emotions, and I really love this ep 3 for that!

“You’re way too obsessed with her.” That he is. 💜
lamentis is 100% doctor who coded. that’s a doctor who episode. down to the gorgeous lighting and visuals (doesn’t feel mcu at all), haphazard social commentary (only the rich are let onto the evacuation train, but it crashes anyway), gravel quarries, the protagonist(s) that typically have god-like abilities of escaping any tricky situation are stranded on a dying planet without the means to get back to their own time… doesn’t help that sylvie is basically 13-if-she-was-outwardly-violent . and then the resolution to the situation— sylvie and loki’s love being paradoxical enough to create a nexus event and alert the agency — i.e. saved by the power of love — is peak moffatism (compliment)
i don’t mind a shameless homage. this show is brilliant and is exactly what i was looking for in that one post — a time agency spinoff. well, not really, i groan whenever the avengers are mentioned, it’s marvel after all. but still, that’s what the TVA is, essentially: somewhere between the CIA (celestial not central), division, and the time agency. the “time keepers” have big fancy collars for fuck’s sake
the chaotic duo™
