Words, work and woes.
Yellow!
The other day was most definitely museum weather, so Olie and I headed over to Potts Point to Sydney's two-week Museum of Words. The idea is a really fun concept! Basically people submit words to this website and then provide their own definition, for example someone offered the following description for the word "hot": once a word to describe temperature, now used to judge women by. Unfortunately we failed to properly read the opening times and we ended up going on the ONE day of the week that the museum's closed. But no worries, we simply went around the corner and grabbed a coffee because hey, museum weather is also café weather.
Yesterday I went for a run and then spent the day looking for work and trying to find a place to live for January (still no luck!). Then Sam came up from Wollongong and we grabbed dinner at Beach Burrito in Bondi - Taco Tuesday! Whoop-whoop! Was so nice sitting looking out over the water and watching the sky change colors as the sun set. That's one thing that I still haven't gotten used to; the fact that I'm on the east coast of the country so unlike California, the sun doesn't set over the ocean. Anyways, after dinner we grabbed Messina's and then headed back home again.
And today the sun has finally come out after what feels like an endless period of rain! And so naturally, I had work. But it was all good, like I've said before, I love my new job and in between our bouts of jokes and laughter, we actually manage to get some work done haha. The best part is that during my break, I can just walk down to the beach and jump in the ocean. Now how many people can do that at work! I also chatted with my manager, and turns out that at the beginning of December, I'll start getting full-time hours. Which was so good to hear! So basically I just have to wait it out another week!
And that is that, ladies and gentlemen. I'll keep you posted on any new adventures or escapades I may find myself in!
xx
