A popular appetizer, Mexican Mess Bean Dip combines the tastes of refried beans, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and different toppings to make a tasty, messy treat.
Ingredients: 1 can refried beans. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1 cup salsa. 1/2 cup sour cream. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. 1/4 cup sliced black olives. 1/4 cup diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup diced jalapenos optional. Tortilla chips, for serving.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 175F 350C. Cover the bottom of a baking dish with refried beans. Put some crumbled cheddar cheese on top of the beans. Spread the salsa out evenly on top of the cheese. Add sour cream on top of the salsa. Put black olives, chopped tomatoes, chopped jalapenos, and chopped green onions on top of the sour cream layer. For 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the dip is hot all the way through, bake in an oven that has already been heated up. Served hot with corn chips.
