New Byler Variant: Metabyler
Where Mike writes a novel and puts inserts of himself and Will into the story, with those characters ending up shipped together.
Scenario One: The ship between these two characters is the single most popular ship in the fandom, so much so that it forces Mike to confront his feelings in a very overwhelming way.
Scenario Two: The insert characters come to life Bravebyers/Wisewheeler style and start meddling with their real world parallels.
This version of Byler would be SO interesting to me because its specifically a version of Will and Mike's relationship from the direct perspective of Mike alone. How he views their dynamic, how he views Will and how he views himself would be made so much more abundantly clear as he's trying to process his emotions through fiction. So his version of Will is basically just like normal Will but confident and graceful and never wrong. Meanwhile, his version of himself could be severely self-deprecating.
It would be such an interesting look into Mike's character under a Byler microscope.
