6. July 2024; Metadefinition
I have coined this term; Metadefintion, henceforth referred to as simply "The word", with the intent of helping forensic linguistics and psychology forward. The word is defined loosely as "An individual's own definition of objects or concepts"
What this means, in layman's terms, is "Your own definition of something". For example, in the case of the health of a child, the topic of the conversation of which I initially engaged with my mother in which led to this term, a child might have its own definition of the word "Health", because of the child's lack of knowledge about the differences between psychological and physical health. It simply does not think enough, which isn't a bad idea.
However, its parent may have another definition, which includes both psychological and physical health, as well as the child's place in society, or as its "social health". Another child, this one with a hearing impediment, also may have its own metadefinition of "health", because it has to accommodate for its lack of hearing, which affects its social health, with a possibility of affecting its mental health.
