Have you suffered from international shipping delays during the pandemic? I’ve been keeping track of how long stuff takes to make it to Texas. Germany is still a problem, as DHL has suspended standard rate shipments to the US, which has stranded a few of my orders.
I’ve read the word “cancelled” so many times in the last 24 hours, and each time breaks my heart a little more. The bands, promoters, and their teams put a ton of work and money into these cancelled tours and shows. I can’t imagine how painful it’s been to get shut down like this. Of course the fans are feeling the pain, too. We’re going to be getting ticket refunds soon enough, my friends. My suggestion is that we plow back that refund money into either tickets for rescheduled shows or on official band merch. The financial loss from all this could be huge for bands and promoters that don’t operate with much of a cushion. If even one band or promoter goes bankrupt over this, then the Corona Virus wins. I can’t abide that.
My cup runneth over with unused patches. I need to devise a cataloging system that works better than the “all in a big ziplock bag” practice that I’ve been using.
I just discovered a new evil crafting tip to share with you fiends. Do you have any large enamel pins that only have one post? They suck because they spin around and aren’t very secure. Two posts are better. To add a second post, use E6000 glue to affix blank tie tacks. You can get cans of these on Amazon for under $5 (with the butterfly clasps). This glue stinks, so use it outside. 48 hours later, your upgraded pins will be good to go back on your battle jacket.
