When a scene goes perfectly. That feeling is the best thing in the world.
Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly...
Richard Bach
Order from Naught, Death from Life
This poem was inspired by the beginning of Publius Ovidius Naso's (Ovid's) Metamorphesis in which there was first chaos and then "God or Nature calmed the elements" and order slowly took form.
While Sleeping, studying, staring at sanguine swimmers in Statistics, some spirit sold me the serious sentiment that someone should slap together several sweet lines. So the self slaved and is showing you sniveling snakes my stuff. Steer clear if you'll slobber as this poem is sad and sterile. Say something if you like, though no swearing. Stab me if you don't. First there was only chaos And all things were mixed together Light with dark Wet with dry Here with there And then came him Order was now in favor To separate all and organize Then and now When and where Hard and soft Now came beauty There was no one to see it Though vast and good, it all went unseen sun and moon Earth and star Wave and rock Now enter beasts But no beast could really gaze Neither was there one to enjoy beasts Cat and bear Deer and bug Rat and ape So there came Man And man took on varied forms And dominated the world over Boy and girl Short and tall Black and white So here we are Very early on came death To set things aright, catch his embrace With people With flowers With races Creatures alike Man himself began to build First he built beauty, then became cheap Hearth and home Farm and city Gun and phone We continue Soon will come the reckoning You will be judged, and all you know Your friends Family Enemies Take heed, prepare! You and me Him and her Them and all
