Blatantly Mewist Pokemon Headcanon About Arceus

My main premise is that all Pokemon are descended from Mew in some way. This includes manmade pokemon that have been artificially imbued with Infinity Energy, because all Infinity Energy comes from the children of Mew, and Mew is the original embodiment of Infinity Energy’s infinite potential. Voltorb? Pokeball prototype that came to life from being unable to fully encode Infinity Energy. Magearna? Was Voltorb before Voltorb was Voltorb. Ghost-types that used to be people or other pokemon? Coalesced out of a regular ghost + the infinity energy released by dead or fainted Pokemon. Porygon? Written into the PC using previously-encoded pokemon as a template and imbued with enough infinity energy to be taken out of the PC.

But we’re not here to talk about those Pokemon. We’re here to talk about my hotbutton lore issue: Arceus, which is still classified as a Pokemon despite allegedly existing before Mew, which is not acceptable because it retcons Mew out of having been The First Pokemon and that is Not Okay, hence my long-standing assertion that Arceus Is A Mistake and should not exist.

Obviously, the way things are currently developing, Gamefreak is doubling down on Arceus being A Thing. Which means that Arceus has to be a child of Mew somehow, because I am a Mewist and Nothing Is Okay otherwise.

And I figured out how that could happen! It just involves Mew, Celebi, and Unown.

Celebi proves that Mew is capable of creating time-travellers, and Unown proves that Mew is, on its own, capable of creating a low-key reality warper if it completely dedicates an organism to it. Unown in large numbers become a wish-granting, local-reality-rewriting machine

Step ?. Mew creates Celebi at an undetermined point before Step 3. Step 1. Mew creates a whole bunch of Unown Step 2. The Unown rewrite local reality to grant Mew’s wish to lay/otherwise create the Egg that Arceus hatched from. Step 3. At the end of its life, Celebi uses up the rest of its Infinity Energy to bring the Egg back in time to before the universe Step 4. Arceus hatches and creates the universe, the Creation Trio, etc. Step 5. The first Mew is born out of raw infinity energy meeting the causality of the Stable Time Loop initiated in Step 1.
