New Species Added: Mexican Wolves!
This is the next priority species for the site, chosen by our Patreon supporters.
One of these wolves has three legs, so there's a bunch of photos of her adaptive run / walk cycles in this photoset.
As always, more photos on the Repository page:
Artists creating derivative or transformative works (without AI) have blanket permission to use these and all photos in the repository as references, including works that will/may be sold.
The Animal Photo Reference Repository is an independent, permanently open-access project and funded entirely by donations

★ Mexicans wolves are an endangered/vulnerable species! They're one of the most endangered wolf species in North America. Due to their low numbers, inbreeding is a risk for them and they have to be monitored.
★ The Mexican gray wolf is commonly referred to as “el lobo.” They are a little over half the size of a gray wolf!
★ Much like other wolves, Mexican wolves are no exception to being heavily social animals, living and thriving in packs! They have a hierarchies within their family dynamics where the breeding pair are considered more dominant.
★ Every species is unique–but so is every individual animal! Leave wild animals alone! Not every animal is friendly!!

Howdy! I’ve got some new adopts up on Ko-fi!! I also made little infographics about the species, just for fun ☀️
ꕀ these adopts are based on animals from Mexico, and all proceeds from them will be going towards groups that provide legal aid, community defense, and other forms of supports to immigrants in the so-called United States — specifically the Immigration Advocacy Network, Freedom for Immigrants, and the Immigrant Defense Project!
Some more wolfy (xenofiction) fanarts!
The first two are Graynose and One-Eleven from Wolvers, which isn't really a XF as a whole but does have brief wolf-POV chapters.
Third is Veter from A Wolf For a Spell
