Things are scary right now in Mexico.

The leader of cartel Jalisco, considered as the most powerful drug dealer in the world, was killed in an operative carried out by the mexican army and the cartel has begun their retaliation by trowing molotov bombs at convinience stores, taking over an airport and highways and setting cars and trucks on fire all over central mexico.

A curfew has been set in all the affected cities, and mine is one of those. I'm really scared for what may happen in the next few days, threats are being made and I'm watching places I have walked by my entire life be set on fire; and even though I think I can stay safe until this passes over I would really appreciate it if you all prayed for us. Whatever belief you have, I would be really greatful that you prayed for us.

hello!! as many of you might know, following the murder of the leader of one of the most powerful cartels in mexico, a lot of people are stuck at home due to threats from the cartel (as not only have they established a curfew and warned that even innocent civillians would be targets if seen outside past the established time, but also because there have been multiple shootouts and cases of burning up places and businesses), which means that right now there are so many people unable to work to sustain themselves.

so, I saw on twitter a thread with many mexican artists with open commissions, if you maybe were thinking of commissioning art and wanted to support mexicans in this situation; here’s the link to it!! (the post isn’t mine, but i thought maybe it’d be a good idea to share it here)
