Bird #69 (hehe) - the Pyrrhuloxia (LC) [for @astroaves]
[male depicted]
This desert bird with a funky name is found around southwestern US and northern Mexico. The name could work as a magic incantation; It comes from Greek pyrrhos (meaning flame-coloured, which is linked to Eurasian bullfinch Pyrrhula pyrrhula) and loxos (meaning slanted/oblique, referring to their frowny beak).
