how do you consistently get invested in ocs? i make a lot of characters and then dont do anything with them because i dont know... WHAT to do with them. aside from making a story of some sort, what do you do personally to stay dedicated to your characters?
oh man ive never like... thought abt it before tbh!! i will b honest w u, out of the 70+ characters ive developed i think i only got really attached to 20ish of them and my main cast is only 4 so like.. it rlly is hit or miss tbh!! having friends who engage w ur ocs is a big one tbh, im really lucky to have @ironicmemeing to immediately jump in w development ideas evry time i design a new oc lol
my main ocs are all solo tho and i think it really was just.. i have a really long and complicated storyline planned out for them that im still developing!! i should probably post the whole thing on here sometime since ive only rlly given little bites of info so far nd it makes some of my posts.. confusing lmao. it also helps that i love their character designs and theyre really fun to draw, but basically im invested bc i have a story im really proud of in those characters and i want other ppl to know about it !!
