Below is the second (love) letter to leader I sent Miss Helen, the first one was for (from?) the Visayas SEA Camp. I wrote this in a little under twenty minutes so please deal with my redundancy and lousy choice of words. 😂 To be honest, I see nothing wrong in terms of the coordination of City Tourism & Information Office to the committees involved in Sinigayan Festival especially during the streetdancing competition. Being chosen as one of the judges for the streetdancing competition, I can say that CITO has been nothing short of accommodating to us judges. Even if catering to our needs (and wants, in my case it was Suyac's kinilaw haha) meant sitting on their feet while eating and running back and forth to get food for the judges, I did not hear CITO staff complain. They were even all smiles. (#meynteyn!) As for the streetdancing itself, I like that the members of the contingents/participating groups have already been presented to the judges before the contest proper. It made our (the judges') job-- to notice the details, the hits and misses, easier. I also commend the youth-- the tourism volunteers who contributed in the success of the festivities. To me, I feel like they fully understood their role-- to promote their city and its people by putting their best foot forward in assisting the judges. I noticed that my assistants/tourism volunteers also took photos. In a journalists' perspective, I believe that the event was a good exposure for them. Not only did they harness or sharpen their skill in photojournalism, they were also able to show their potential in public relations. ☺ (at Sagay City, Negros Occidental)
