there’s a certain dullness in the apartment complex when sophia baum is not practicing her dances in the hallways or blasting music for all the neighbors to hear. if you asked emmett what he thought of her doing all that he would simply say he thought it was annoying, but deep down he enjoyed coming home to the dancing and the music. the past two days he hasn’t been greeted with those things though, it was cold and boring when he walks to his door. he’s worried, and from what he can remember from when they were growing up she’s never quiet like this, even on her worst days. purposely that night he decides to cook way too much lasagna, he plans on bringing it to her and asking her if she’s alright ––– - a part of him is just nosy and wants to know why she’s not annoying him, but the other part of him genuinely cares about how she’s feeling. he walks across the hallway and knocks gently, his gaze is strictly focused on the tupperware he’s gripping tightly in his hand but shifts to her when he’s greeted at the door. ‘ hey i know we haven’t spoken much, but i made some extra lasagna and figured i’d come bring you some. ’ he extends his arm with the food with hopes she’ll take it and talk to him.
