So...

Forgot to say this on Monday and it can’t wait until my series review - Dylan doesn’t deserve to kill Norman. 

I keep seeing people say they “can’t wait for Dylan to go back home” and it’s kinda annoying because who fucking cares if he does. Dylan purposely left Norma with Norman. He knew how dangerous Norman was. Dylan didn’t threaten him to keep Norma safe or simply state he’s a danger; he hugged him. He was in his feels after Norma stuck up for Norman (again) so he left. Not to mention, Dylan hasn’t been shit since we saw him favor his rapist father. And granted Dylan’s hate towards his mom is warranted, he’s still trash for ignoring the trauma his father caused Norma and never understanding how that shaped his childhood. 

So yeah... Dylan doesn’t deserve to kill Norman. The only people who do are Alex, “Mother”, and maybe Madeleine if Norman tries to kill her. Not Dylan.

It’s 2019 and I’mma need people to learn the difference between someone expressing anger/disappointment when counterpointing bigots vs. someone using in a condescending tone based in self-righteousness or elitism.

Not media-related but it’s my blog so WHATEVER...

It sucks that the last post during my Halloween spam-blogging was about a popular blog peddling shit for a racist company but I’m not surprised. 

It sucks that two more mass shootings have happened in my country since my last posting but, again, I’m not surprised. 

I am “over” a lot of shit though. Including the aforementioned shit. 

Like, I’m tired by how complicit and ignorant many people around me are. I’m emotionally exhausted by the lack of self-awareness and lack of motivation to improve that said people express with glee. It’s frustrating, and depressing, and upsetting on so many levels. It makes me feel hopeless (to a certain degree). 

And many people always say “well if you stop going on SM, your life would be much better” but that’s not necessarily the case. Why? BECAUSE I DO LEAVE THE INTERNET! I DO LOG OFF SM! In fact, I’ve left these spaces quite often in exchange for a physical social life these past years! And “no” things weren’t all daisies and cupcakes. The same problematic shit I see online, I hear offline because it’s the same kind of shitty people trying to interact with me. From horrible views on racism and sexism to biphobia and transphobia in the queer community to ableism and sizeism to classism... it’s all out there IRL. Where the fuck do you think people on SM come from... a different dimension lol? Fuck no - they are everyone, online and off. They are all around you and me in the streets, at work, inviting us into their homes, eating next to you at restaurants and shopping in the same aisles. They are everywhere. E V E R Y W H E R E.

Anyone playing that Hogwarts Mystery game and thinks it’s kinda sketchy Rowan gets whacked in the face during flight classes?  

Merula I understand because she’s the bully character but if Rowan gets it, why can’t Penny and/or my character too??? 

Like, Rowan’s character isn’t even comic relief or annoying so... *shrugs*

It may have taken me years but I finally gave Love & Rockets an honest try. And I just couldn’t get into it. 

Despite the queer characters of color, you could tell the women were written by men. Plus it didn’t help that the illustration was mediocre and the pacing was hella slow lol.

Y’kno... with everything happening in my area (the DMV) this weekend, I’m sadly but surely “over” this month’s Community Day. And it’s really frustrating.

Welp

So, I didn’t get the chance to do anything special on my blog for Pride. There’s nothing to do now but it still sucks to make plans I deemed important then life throws other shit in the mix. Sucks even more realizing things might’ve went differently if I didn’t have a limited amount of energy than “the normal person.” But whatever. Hopefully, if no one has created an alternative to this hellsite by then, next year will be better. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
